gofile(poll public release) - https://gofile.io/d/DBZ1hx

The Aranea remakes I had teased and mentioned before. Bit late in the day, since I was gonna post them tomorrow, but I decided to post them today since I finished them. While some are just remakes, a couple are more 'remixed' than remakes. Same poses, different motions. Just so they aren't straight remakes and have some alternate value. I did do one new animation, but that was it. I've, unfortunately, been feeling very under the weather and just haven't had motivation to animate. Being busy doesn't help things much either. And something really shitty is in the air right now, since I can barely breathe through my nose. But with that said, I'd say expect things to be slightly scaled down between the poll stuff and next few releases. Melina will probably not be the full five animations, and I don't really have anything set up for next release so it might be just a couple of random things I can scrounge together. Might also only have one poll, just to not overwhelm myself in a busy December, but we'll see.

As for the remasters, they're just re-renders of the original ones. I've included the original ones as well, but the remasters mainly just removes the post-processing I put on the originals and adjusted some of the ambient occlusion and shadows since the version of Blender I used for the original ones is four years older than the one I'm using now, and a lot has changed in Blender. Because of that, I can't get it to look exactly right, which was especially noticeable in the Gentiana ones where I completely forgot to make adjustments to the settings to get things looking better. It's why you may have noticed some weird shadows and what not in the remaster set that wasn't there in the original set. Just me forgetting that there's more than just a number increasing between Blender versions. A lot changes in four years. Which is partially why I'm doing a remake set anyway. I won't do too much more in the way of remakes. I kind of plan to do NiCO and Kanna at some point, but that'll be next year some time. I will say that remastering these old animations, I figured out how to fix an annoying problem with Ambient Occlusion that has persisted throughout my animations. It was usually just so minor that I could ignore it, but the Blender versions made the problem more noticeable in these old animations so I tried to fix it and managed to fix it. So that's neat. As for why even bother, I dunno. Just felt like it. In Gentiana's case, some of them didn't have native mp4 format, so there was partially that. This one did have mp4, so it's kind of moot.
