Poll Results (Pixiv Fanbox)

This poll was an interesting one. It definitely had a lower number of voters, likely just due to the nature of the poll, but what was interesting was how close it was.

Lila edged out Nia by just four points, but look at the actual raw numbers. All within spitting distance of each other. And while Lila is the victor by a narrow margin in terms of points, that was not the case yesterday when I first drafted this post. In fact, Nia was two points ahead, with Lila being three votes ahead. I was actually going to split things 50/50 between the two, since there was two 'victors', but today is a different day. Now Lila is the sole victor. And this is without having to do anything potentially dubious in order to ensure Nia lost, which is what I know one of you wanted. It amused me enough that I was going to do a dumb essay on ethics. It was gonna be titled "A Conversation on Ethics by LazyProcrastinator" where I debate the ethics behind a... purely hypothetical scenario. Some other time, perhaps.

With that out of the way, I'm gonna go ahead and mention that tomorrow is just gonna be the public release of the Trick and Treat animations. I started toying around with the ghost from the past two years, but I just didn't have it in me this year. Couldn't think of anything interesting or fun to do with her that I wanted to do, so sadly she will not be showing up this year. I did consider rendering some of the shots from the first ghost video at different angles and what not, but that was proving to be a headache of its own(with the PC upgrade last year came file reshuffling and trying to hunt down certain files was just obnoxious). Maybe next year.

As another aside, just as a reminder I will be on break the first couple weeks of November. This poll's animations won't release until mid-November. I might be 'on break', but I do animate for fun a lot of times, so it's more just a break from the internet side of things. Helps my brain rest and recharge. That said, I do have some things in the works for upcoming releases. One I've mentioned a few times is the Aranea remakes, following the Gentiana remakes I did before. I've started work on them, so I'll drop a little teaser.

They're remakes, but like the Gentiana ones, they're going to be slightly different. This one's got a very obviously different vibe in setting compared to the original, . And there will be at least one "new" animation, so look forward to that. I also randomly started on another remake set, mainly because this character was gonna show up in a poll but I decided "why not" instead. I'll let people theorize and speculate on what that one will be. It's one of my oldest Blender works, is all I'll say. And of course, I do now have Akali to work with, so that Irelia and Akali set will happen... eventually. Can't say when it's gonna happen, but it'll happen at some point.

And lastly, the Aerith and Tifa animations will come on the 31st... at some time, anyway.
