Where I got my artstyle. (Pixiv Fanbox)

So many of you may have already know that my art style is similar to a very famous artist, Mignon. I really like his artwork and I really look up to him and I think I owe some of my partial success to him, so if you haven't heard of him then go check him out!

My art style of 2020 and 2021 is more or less a 180 difference and it is thanks to this book published by Mignon -「mignonがしっかり教える「肌塗り」. The book not only explains the techniques he uses but it also comes with some DLCs such as his brushes and artwork Full PSD files. The book is written in Japanese but it has a lot of explanations shown with step by step pictures which is very well thought out, but what you'll really want is the full PSD files. The full PSD files has it all, such as how to change lighting of environment with the subject just by using layer mode and layer masking and shading.

*To get the DLCs, you'll need to go to a website and insert a password which is in the page 142. (Do not leak it or I will find you, support the artist for their effort.)

Final notes- I was a bit afraid at first that my style will be too similar to Mignon but in the end I learnt to accept it. I really like this art style, the start to the process to the finish, I enjoy drawing like this even though it's not fully mine. Mignon is not the only artist I've learnt from so there are other artists' style I've added but Mignon is the biggest inspiration to me. In the end, as long as my audience likes my artwork then I don't mind looking similar to others'. And lets be real, all art styles has a bit mix of others'.
