Hello everyone,

As you all know, the game should've been released somewhere this week originally but it's not going to happen. I do believe the extra two weeks will be enough, though. So you can expect the game between the 13th and 19th of May.

In terms of workflow, we're finally reaching something stable for the graphical part. I hope you'll enjoy the H content. Hopefully, I'll be able to show you one full scene in the next post (thing is, some are ready but I need the backgrounds and I don't have access to my SS money for now because Skrill is cockblocking me so I need to wait for Fanbox money...)

Now, in terms of scripts, Hime has done almost everything needed. There's ONE major thing she worked on and she'll work on until the release. Something I've been wanting to implement ever since Slice of Venture 3 (it was one of the planned things, so now it's recycled in SoVR).

A card game 8D Of course, don't expect us to code Slice of Cards in RPG Maker... But since it exists (there's an already existing script for that, but it needed sever rewriting), I wanted to implement my favourite video game card game: the triple triad from FFVIII!

Until now, things have mainly been aimed at adapting the whole thing for the game resolution and make it work. As you'll see, it looks pretty terrible, the visuals are going to be something we'll work on until the release. The IA however, is dumb as a chair, we'll improve it AFTER this release ^^'

So first of all, you select the 5 cards you want to play with

Then you'll see a prompt asking you if your deck is okay or if you want to change it. And then the game starts.

And then, if you played FFVIII (or from what I saw, also FFXIV), you know the rules. I'm an old man though, so there might be people among you who will have no idea how to play this. It's pretty simple. The numbers on the cards are the values of each side of the card. When you play a card, if the number on its side is bigger than the one next to it, the color changes to yours. It's simple as fuck but it works very well. The winner is the one with the most colors on the field. But since one of the players will remain with one card, draws are possible as well.

Normally, the winner takes a card from the loser's deck. That's how you gain the majority of rare cards in FFVIII.

Cards will be ordered by rarity and rarity defines the amount of the numbers. Bronze cards have three steps of values (one tier which total numbers equal 12, one tier which total numbers equal 18 and one tier which total number equal 24-25), then there will be silver cards (rare) and gold cards (extremely rare and unique).

This is how it looks after a game. Of course (since the player is blue side), I'm about to win x)

For this update, there won't be many cards available. Only 14 (which correspond to the 14 facesets of the game's characters). But the whole list is already made. There should be a bit more of 60 cards by the end of the game's development. There will be illustrations from Slice of School, Slice of School Extra Lessons, Naomi's Past, from stuff from the past that were never really used (Slice of Cards and Slice of Quiz illustrations) and even illustrations from stuff that are planned in the future (Fubuki's Challenge). The rarest cards are going to picture full H pictures that JFC drew back in the SoV3 days that I will finally be able to implement in the game at some point. I'm even going to ask PeakJump to draw a portrait version of Aleksia and Meweldi from Slice of Venture 3 as a token of remembrance :x

We also plan on adding the extra rules (Open, Same, Plus, Random etc...) through the game development (to spice things up a bit). Just not the elemental rule. That always sucked :x

Anyway, while people threw buckets of shit on me for the mini-games in Vitamin Plus, no one ever complained about the card game, so here, it's going to have its own use as well. While in this update, it will only be there for introducing it and play for fun, in next updates, you'll be able to earn stuff thanks to it.

Oh, and of course, there will be a sort of album to check the illustrations without the numbers (especially useful for future cards if you want to see the whole art 8D)

That's it for today! Hopefully, the next time you'll see me, I'll have some smut under my arm :p

See ya o/
