Looking back on 2023 (Pixiv Fanbox)
Content
Hello everyone,
Another year has finished and it's time to do something I stopped doing a long time ago but felt like doing again: a recap on the work accomplished during the past year.
2023 was the first year I spent working on a single game ever since I opened my Patreon. So basically, I haven't done it since I worked on Slice of Venture between 2014 and 2015. I have to admit that it felt pretty nice. And it's probably the reason I'm so motivated to reiterate the same thing this year with Slice of Venture Remake. We'll see where it leads us...
Anyway, 2023 was the year of The Hunter 2 and as such, I decided to compile some data so you can have a clearer view of what has been accomplished.
Those numbers are spread through 6 releases. Almost 50 H scenes is quite nice if you ask me. But the most baffling stat is that coupled with the render amount we're close to 9 pics per scenes (which is pretty huge compared to the average amount of pic per scene in H games.)
We're almost at 8 H scene per update, which I consider being a good number as well. As for the rest of numbers well, considering the amount of things that were already in place before v0.25, I consider that satisfying numbers as well.
There are way too many things that were added to the game to list them all (the Changelog is here for that), but I decided to note down the ones I consider major. The brothel is of course the main course considering how we spent the whole year improving it. But the battle is also a big part we worked on (and we still have to modify a couple of things to make it exactly the way we want.) Stuff like UI/SFX/Title Screen are minor in the mind of most players but I really wanted things to look nice so I'm quite glad we managed to improved everything from the menu, inventory, save screen etc... to have something that doesn't look like a generic RPG Maker game. I dared putting the tutorials in the list because they're so many and it takes so long to do them that I consider them a major improvement of the year (especially considering there shouldn't be many tutorials in the future as most core elements are now finished.)
Anyway, that's it for the little reminder. I am pretty satisfied of the progress we made, even if I'm perfectly aware that some of you might find that the game is a bit stagnating in terms of story progression. In a sense, it's the case. Due to the many things we wanted to fix and/or improve for the core of the game, we spent a lot of time on things that were already done than on new elements. So yeah, the story didn't progress much. Normally, things should improve the next time I'll go back to the game. I have a good deal of characters ready to be implemented in the different areas of Ambriosa, a couple of long side-quests for more content with already existing characters and of course, there's the whole development of the brothel and the quest of Kaya to keep hiring more and more Ominira girls. There's still A LOT to do :p
For this last post about TH2, I've created a form. As you know (I've already mentioned it a couple of times), the amount of feedbacks on TH2 is close to null. So just like I did with SoV3 back in the days, I'm putting a form online to collect you opinion. It's mainly about TH2 but there's a tidbit about BA in general and BAE. I'll be very thankful to those who take the time to fill it: https://forms.gle/RyZEGPsddcJrv3Jr9
That's all for today. I'll be back in a couple of days to upload the last proper version of TH2 (we might have a bug or two to correct until then.) And soon after, I'll post the first Slice of Venture Remake post about Yuki and I'll announce the remake on Pixiv to let people know I'm back on 2D content for this year.
Thank you very much for your support! I'll see you in a couple of days o/
