Some info about TH2 (Pixiv Fanbox)
Content
Hello everyone,
I wanted to take a bit of time to explain some things about what's coming up in TH2. As you know, this update will be the first one without any story progression because a part of my time is used for rendering stuff that is NOT for that update.
And I'd like to take a couple of minutes to explain you my working process when it comes to rendering so you can understand better things schedule-wise.
Until last year, when it came to rendering, I worked like that:
1) I was posing models (and taking the time to create them if I hadn't already done so.)
2) The I rendered it (meaning I turned it into a 3D pic.)
3) The I moved to the next pose
4) Then I rendered it
Etc...
It was a terrible way of working. When I had my GTX970, it was okay because a render was taking between 20 minutes to one hour (mainly depending on how close to the models the camera was.) So when the PC rendered, I was on RPG Maker to keep working. It wasn't that great because if the pic was really heavy to render, it would also use a bit of CPU and it would make RPG Maker lag. But when I bought myself a 2080 to speed up the rendering process, I went from 20 minutes to one hour to 5 minutes to 30 minutes (and with no CPU usage anymore.) While it was great, I was dumb enough to keep working with the previous setting for some time.
But I realized somewhere last year that it was stupid and that now, I should do things this way:
1) I pose models
2) I save the file
3) I pose models
4) I save the file
[...]
X) All the poses are ready
Y) I render them one after another.
And this is much more intelligent. Because before, I was going back to RPG Maker in small span of time. Posing = 15 minutes, then rendering = 20 minutes, then posing = 20 minutes. All in all, in almost one hour I had worked on RPG Maker only 20 minutes. And the major problem that doesn't show if you don't pay attention to it, is that you're much less efficient going back and forth on stuff than being 100% focused on it.
While now, I spend a whole day or several (several in the current case) doing only posing and saving tons of files. And ONLY once it's done I launch the renders. This way, I can spend a whole day rendering stuff, I can stay on RPG Maker while the renders are processing. I only stop working to either change the camera angle, the file or launch the render. And it's MUCH better.
But I'm explaining all this to justify something else. Because of this new way of working, I'm also doing something I wasn't doing before which is rendering stuff that is NOT needed for the current update. Because since I'm spending my time preparing different poses for a same scene setting, I now tend to create as much as I can from that scene even if some of those scenes are for later in the game.
If you want a good example of that, you can take Oswald (Vincent and Charles' grandather.) Ever since he was introduced in the game, I have two full scenes that have been rendered but are waiting in a folder. Same thing for Lost Town with 2 scenes. These scenes will be in the game, don't worry, it's just that in most cases, I need Kaya's stats to reach the amount I want. And right now, although I'm rendering lots of things for v0.29, I am ALSO rendering things for v0.28 that will NOT be in v0.28 because they'll have to be implemented later. But I'm still working on them because since I'm doing batch posing with the same setting, it's faster for me.
What I mean is that it may look on the outside that I'm taking more time to do those releases because I'm taking more time with rendering and it's true, but it's not time lost :p Right now I'm exactly at 135 different pics rendered between content for v0.28 and v0.29. And I'm far from being over. I'll probably reach something close to 200 pics when I'll be fully finished. So yeah, v0.29 is probably going to be the update with the most pics in a VERY long time ^^'
Now, if you had the courage to read all that, I'll reward you with a bit more content teasing.
First of all, I've commissionned Nito for 75 new NPCs. By NPCs I mean mobs. Not people with a face like Biserka or Catherine. Each of those NPCs have a specific design but they're only meant to be random walking people. It's going to cost quite a lot ($1,500 if you're curious), but it's fine, he'll provide them 10 by 10 every month so I can handle the pricing x) At least, there will be a great variety of designs among mobs cause right now, they all feel a bit too similar to my taste. And TH2 can't be a great game if mobs are all identical :x
Next, I can tell you that Kaya will have a new outfit in the next update. It's not a dungeon outfit, of course (it's going to take some time before I implement a new one considering it implies rendering all battle pics with that new outfit ^^'), so it's a situational outfit like the nurse outfit. But people are going to like it. Considering it's one of the few SFW pic I can provide, I'll show it to you in a future post.
There will also be the implementation of a special shop where you'll only be able to sell stuff. Betty will move from the counter to the Tea Salon during the day (after all, the brothel is closed during the day, she doesn't need to be behind the counter) and you'll be able to sell her the cum vials you get from battles. While the majority of cum vials will be earned in fights, you'll also have the possibility to get cum from other sources (for example, getting raped in Lost Town will give you infected cum.) The goal is just to get money out of it. Of course, the rarer the cum, the more expensive it will be.
There will also be a little addition of interaction points to raise Horniness. In some random spots, Kaya will be able to interact with different things (ranging from cum stains to dirty underwear) and interact with them to get a slight out-of-battle raise of Horniness. The way you'll be able to interact with those interaction points will depend on Kaya's stats (If you take the example of cum stain, she'll only be able to sniff it first, then touch it, then smear it, then lick it etc...) Of course, the more stats an action requires, the more horniness it'll bring. This way, you'll be able to build up horniness outside battles to face enemies more easily.
Lastly, the estimated date of release should be somewhere during the first week of August.
That's all for today!
I'll see you next time with some info and a pic or two for the preview!
See ya o/
