ジオヴァーナ Project (Pixiv Fanbox)

This is a preliminary project preview from a commission I received some time ago. The main character of this illustration is Giovanna, [ジオヴァーナ] a female fighter from Guilty Gear series [ギルティギア]. I don't know much about this fighting game except the fan art I've seen around the web in the last decades so I had to investigate about her looks and style. I looked up for screen caps from the original game and artwork available online. I liked the color palette she and her companion have. It's very colorful.

The person who requested this illustration was very specific about the composition, posing, clothing and mood which makes it really fun and challenging at once. The sample I am sharing with you is an alternative variant from the original one because I have made several modifications to the number of characters and posing mainly. I might post the final version once it is completed.
