カトレア [WIP 02] (Pixiv Fanbox)

I came across with a cool picture reference a few weeks ago and then I visualized a new Cattleya fan-art at once. At the beginning, I wasn't sure which character design to use. Although I like the original Cattleya from the Queen Blade series, I also liked the version made by Shiawase Pullin Dou in his Package Meat Series. If I am not wrong, there are about 10 or 11 volumes where Cattleya has los of affairs with her weapon's shop clients and people she has some money debts as well. My favorite one is the first volume. I even have bought the first volume of the original paperback version. Unfortunately, the artist did not continue the story.

As for this illustration, I am trying to use the color palette from the fifth short OVA. If you look at this preliminary illustration you will notice the role of vegetables in the composition and the reference to the short OVA. I can't wait to complete it and hope I manage to make a cool night couple scene with Rana.

Cattleya Project WIP 02

This artwork sample corresponds to the second stage of a full colored fan-art project. In fact, I am already working on the shading and lighting. The background will keep me busy for a bit longer because I want it to look like a nigh scene at Catteya's room. I might be sharing the final version during the following weeks.
