I would like to discuss the issue of discord group abandonment 🥴.

I'm only talking about groups that are designed for interaction, with the exception of groups that don't have interaction as their primary purpose, such as my group for members.

I've been through numerous groups.

I've been in many groups, but there are so many abandoned groups where none of the members speak up...

I think there are two main reasons for this.

1. There are too many ROM members.

(2) Managers who do not manage members and rarely speak out themselves.

In particular, I feel that the number of ROM members (1) is a major problem.

The number of people who actively talk about topics and take an active role in the group is quite small, at one out of every 10 members.

In many cases, the interaction begins in the form of taking advantage of the person (let's say A) who provides the topic.

If this situation continues for a long time, A's burden becomes one-sided, and A will eventually say less and less.

While there is more than one A or while members are on topic, it is still fine.

However, when A does not provide topics and does not participate in the conversation, A stops speaking and either becomes a ROM member or leaves to seek a new place to live.

As a result, only ROM members remain, and the area is in ruins.

There are many other reasons for ROMs, such as exclusivity and intra-community rivalry, but the main one is the number of ROMs.

But to sum it up, it is because of the large number of ROMs.

Before this happens, the administrator should kick members who don't speak at all, set rules, or provide topics for discussion by the administrator himself.

The administrators themselves should manage the members by providing topics and taking part in the discussion, but I feel that most of the administrators are not able to do so.

I feel that most of the administrators are not able to do this.

If you are in a group where the purpose is to interact with others and you decide to be a ROM member from the beginning, you are not interested in interacting with others.

I think it's okay to kick them because you don't want to interact with them.

The reason why I mentioned this is because the manga storytelling group I joined a month ago has begun to fall into disrepair.
