コロコロで連載してたこの漫画、覚えてる人も多いのではなかろうか。

私の記憶が確かなら、突如として付録漫画から連載が始まり、コロコロとは思えないクオリティで当時のキッズを驚愕させました。

当時コロコロのポケモン漫画といえば、穴久保先生の漫画で馴染みのギエピーだけだったので、正統派すぎるポケモン漫画にドキドキしたものです。

ポケモンに対しての造詣の深さ、ゲームに沿いながらもアレンジを加えたシナリオ、

今でもポケモンを題材にした漫画の中では過去一番の出来だと思ってます。

それもそのはず、作者はエンテイライコウスイクンのデザインを担当しアニメスタッフでもあった斉藤むねお氏。(当時は知らなかった)

連載順も常に上位で絶大な支持を受けていたはずが

序盤のタンバシティで突如として連載終了。

今だその理由は不明、原因に同じポケモン漫画の穴久保ギエピーが上げられるが、ジャンルが全く違うし、ゴールデンボーイズの方が人気があったのでギエピーは無関係と思われる。

斉藤むねお氏もたびたびツイッターでこの作品の話題に触れるなどしているので

かなりの思い入れがある様子。

大人の事情なんだろうけど、最後まで読みたかったなぁ😂

Many of you may remember this manga that was serialized in Corocoro.

If my memory serves me correctly, the serialization suddenly started from a supplemental manga and astonished kids at that time with its quality that was unbelievable for Corocoro.

At the time, the only Pokémon manga in Corocoro was Giepie, which was familiar to me from Mr. Anakubo's manga, so I was thrilled to see a Pokémon manga that was too orthodox.

I still think it is the best Pokémon manga ever.

The author is Muneo Saito, who was in charge of the design of Entei Rai Koushikun and was also a member of the animation staff (I didn't know that at the time). (I didn't know that at the time.)

The series was always at the top of the order of serialization and was supposed to have received tremendous support.

However, the series suddenly ended in Tamba City at the beginning of the series.

The reason for this is still unknown. The same Pokémon manga, Anakubo Giepie, has been cited as the cause, but Giepie seems to have nothing to do with it, since the genres are completely different and Golden Boys was more popular.

Muneo Saito often mentions this work on Twitter.

He seems to be very attached to this work.

I know it's an adult thing, but I wish I could have read it all the way through 😂.
