最近硫酸の事件が世間を賑わしてたようですね…。

父が子供の頃自宅にあった硫酸で遊んでたことがあるらしく

一度それをこぼしてしまい、服の袖で拭いたら服が溶けて皮膚が黒く変色したとかいってました。あと硫黄の塊に火をつけたら青く燃えて、亜硫酸ガスが発生し死にかけたとも言ってました。

My father used to play with sulfuric acid in his house when he was a child.

He spilled it once, and when he wiped it on the sleeve of his clothes, his clothes melted and his skin turned black. He also said that when he set fire to a lump of sulphur, it burned blue and produced sulphurous gas that nearly killed him.
