Toriko Author: Mitsutoshi Shimabukuro Gourmet / Battle

It's famous as an inflation manga, but it was really interesting up until the middle...!

I tried to copy a lot of good parts of various works, and as a result, it became a mess.

I still have all the volumes at home.

I think Toriko was first published in Jump in 2002.

I was a kid at the time, and I thought "how funny! I was a kid at the time and thought, "How funny!

I thought to myself, "This is what Hunter Hunter's Gastronomic Hunter would look like in manga form.

I thought.

Takeshi was still being serialized, and then the author had a problem and Takeshi was suspended.

I was wondering if Toriko would ever appear in the world again, but then the series started in 2008.

I was in Tokyo at the time, attending a vocational school, and it was quite popular among my friends ☺️.

I used to look forward to it every week too.

The first two volumes were released at the same time, and they were so popular that the bookstore ran out of them and I couldn't buy them for a while until they were reprinted.

That's how much momentum Toriko had back then 😌.

In the middle of the book, it shifted to a battle manga, but it was still interesting in its own way, and I remember watching the anime.

I remember watching the anime as well. When I entered the gourmet world section, there was a series of super developments that made no sense, and even though I read it every week, I kept thinking "Huh? Did I read it last week? I've been reading it every week and it's the only one that makes me go "Huh?

There are too many scene changes, too many stories going on at the same time, too many recollections, and it's so chaotic that you don't even know if you're reading the past or the present.

The author himself seemed to be in a state of confusion.

The author himself seemed to be in a state of confusion. He had the main character say, "I don't understand!

I don't understand!

That may have been the author's cry.

It seems to be quite difficult even for professional manga artists to have multiple stories going on at the same time.

Whenever he has a problem with a story, he picks up a story from Hunter Hunter, Yu Yu Hakusho, Baki, Jojo, and many others, but because he imitates the dialogue, the position of the speech balloons, and the composition so much, it's easy to figure out which scene from which manga he used as a reference.

Hunter Hunter, in particular, had so many homages that there was no end to them.

At one point, they even tried to copy the panel layout of Hunter Hunter and the narration of the ant chapter, but they stopped soon after they realized that it didn't fit the content.

I've said a lot of things, but I've got all the books in new editions, and I still read them once every few years.

Only the end was clean, so I guess that was a good thing ☺️.
