It's not uncommon for illustrators to fight with each other in discord 😂.
One of the most common illustrations of this is the freelance vs. corporate employee scheme.
Freelancers say that a corporate job is a loser, and that it's for people who can't make it as a freelancer.
Company employees say that freelancers are sociopaths doing freelance work because they can't get into the company.
We have a heated battle.
We were having a good conversation up until then, and then they suddenly explode 💦.
I think the reason why this happens is because people with only freelance experience feel an attraction to illustrators working for a company, and people with only corporate experience feel an attraction to freelancers.
So they unconsciously mount up to show their superiority, and they get into fights...
I myself was somewhat jealous and attracted to freelancers when I only had corporate experience, and that's one of the reasons I left the company and became a freelancer.
I don't get into these conflicts as much as I would if I were someone who had experience with both.
Often times, critical emotions are triggered by an unconscious feeling of inferiority.
I find myself sometimes realizing that this feeling may be caused by my own inferiority complex... so
I try to think about whether the opinion is objective or too subjective.
But sometimes I let my emotions get the better of me and said something wrong (I did it again yesterday).
I want to be careful 😂.
