Kawaii Situation Report. (Pixiv Fanbox)

Yes, you read that right. Situation Report! I'll try to write one of these every 6 months or so to sum up what's going on if there's anything with me, given this is a Fanbox to support my activities and what's going on with me usually affects that, whether I want it to or not...

So first up, my inconsistent Pixiv posting!

Around the end of last year, I reached my limit at my day job of being kept underpaid under the guise of "training". To summarise it, I was never actually trained and should have been promoted correctly after a year of being employed as I had been qualified from the start, but my manager had other ideas. I started forcing the issue alongside coworkers who agreed it wasn't right that I was being treated this way and simply put, he wasn't interested. I started looking for another job and having numerous meetings with my manager to avoid me leaving because I did enjoy the job. Sadly, there was no change. My manager was not willing to shift his position and so with no other choice I resigned and moved to the new job.

Unfortunately, the new job I went to, whilst paying very well, is not what I was led to believe it would be. It makes very little use of the skills and qualifications I have. I'm stuck doing work that I don't like doing daily and also have a lot of travel involved in the job whilst the previous had very little to none. The pay might be good, but the job is currently leaving me rather ​depressed and unmotivated for anything.

This has affected my pixiv works by leaving me less motivated to work on things. When I'm not motivated, I make slower progress than usual and I make scenes I usually have remake later as the quality has suffered. I'm currently searching for yet another job.

In better news!

For those who missed it. Thanks to Fanbox's support, I've been able to organise TWO full manga projects which can hopefully fill the void of my usual work until I resolve things personally.

I can't begin to describe how excited about these projects. They would never have been possible if it wasn't for how successful Fanbox has been since I opened it. So huge thanks! The Genshin Impact Doujinshi is expected to be 26 Pages long whilst the Change Ring Manga is estimated to be around 40+ so both will be long running projects that will be on-going for a while. I plan to release them on pixiv on their completion.

I hope to make more of these in the future and have already written a Genshin Impact story for a third, but I think I'll be limiting myself to two of these at any one time when they're possible. If Fanbox continues to see great support, I may consider trying to organise a third, but I think two are all I can manage for the moment.
