The new business year (which has already passed) has started.

(April is the month when companies begin a new business year in Japan.)

Mikoyan is also about to start a new project in addition to her existing series and work. I hope you will look forward to it.

As I'm sure many of you already know, unfortunately, Comic Market 99, which was scheduled for May, has been postponed.

@comiketofficial

The timing of the Comiket is undecided at the moment, but I still hope to release New doujinshi before the end of the year.I hope it will be held somehow...but the impact of COVID-19 is still uncertain.Although it is possible to release doujinshi through mail order, I want to hand them directly to you at Tokyo Big Sight.

So, once again, I have a lot of fun things planned for this year, so stay tuned!

I believe that it is still being transported by ship over the Pacific Ocean.

It seems to take about a month to get to San Diego by sea from Taiwan where the doujinshi was bound.

I'm not aware of any progress on the sales front, but I imagine it will probably be released in May or so.

*This doujinshi is uncensored and cannot be ordered from Japan.

This is irrelevant to 99% of the supporters.

Unfortunately, illegal uploads occur on a regular basis. We are taking action against them by requesting them to be removed. It is very empty when time for creation is lost in such unproductive work.

they may be able to easily become a "hero" by pasting it on the image board like this.

But the story doesn't end there.

These illegally uploaded images can be used by companies that are willing to do illegal business.

Simpleminded illegal uploads have become a real blessing for these illegal operators. Of course, it is an act that is deeply despised by creators.

Please really don't do that.

A bit of a disappointment at the end, but I'll try to keep these fun drawings coming!

Stay tuned in 2021!

I still don’t fully understand the point of PAYING someone just to release their work for FREE 🤔 Anywho thanks for the update on the doujinshi, hopefully I can order a copy fast enough 🙏🏿 Can’t wait to see what the rest of this year brings

At first I wondered if they were part of the illegal trade. I thought. As it turns out, they are committing the same act....

Erdrick

A shame about Comiket, but I'm definitely looking forward to the US doujin release! Also, love to see KOS-MOS again~

It's really unfortunate that people upload your work like that. I've seen this happen to a lot of artists and it's frankly pretty terrible. Hope your get this sorted soon. Really excited for your new doujins.

It's a never-ending problem, but I hope we can come up with some good ideas to solve it.I'll let you all know as soon as I have new information on the doujinshi!

Mord_Rethar

It is very sad, but even I got there, and become your fan, because I saw some of your art on r34.. But the more artists I support the more I see the problems with illegal uploads.. it’s really hard to stop them tho.. but I wish you good luck in that.. I have also one question.. that North American doujinsh - is it shipped to EU as well? And, is it only in physical version and is there no way to get it digital? Thank you!

Mord_Rethar

Right? Like.. I pay for this art because I want to support them and save it for myself.. why would I pay for it and then upload on illegal sites? That makes no sense, it’s stupid.. the art that is released on twitter and such for free? Fine. But art from fanbox, patreon or fantia and such? Hell no.

People like you are in the very small minority. There are those who say that illegal uploading is a good thing because it increases the visibility of the author. It is true that it can spread awareness. However, the people who are enjoying the pictures by illegal uploads are not interested in the artist. For example, if more and more people download illegal uploads of doujinshi, will the sales of doujinshi increase proportionally? No. If anything, sales will plummet. Illegal uploads do not bring any benefits to authors. I don't want to accept the encouragement that painters should work hard to prevent their paintings from being stolen. Creators want to devote all their resources to creating. We don't want to spend our time looking for thieves.

And to answer your question, I don't know. I may ship to Europe if the company I have a contract with thinks that way. As for releasing an electronic version, I am not thinking about it at this time. As mentioned in the afterword of the doujinshi, due to COVID-19, we have not been able to hold doujinshi events such as Comic Market. As a result, many of the printing companies involved in doujinshi are in trouble. The reason why I insisted on releasing paper books despite the cancellation of the Comic Market is to make a small contribution to the printing companies that support the doujinshi culture. I understand that releasing an electronic version is better for convenience, but I hope you will understand that doujinshi is not just a business.

Mord_Rethar

Well yes, it might increase the awareness, but at what cost.. it’s so stupid to do the author so dirty to pay for their art and the upload it on illegal sites.. I mean sure, like I said.. free art, fine, I guess.. at least leave link for the artist so I can check their art... but paid art? No.. it sooo stupid... Ahaa! I see.. well, I do understand what you are going for. I am not really in doujinshi industry so I know very little, but I do get it that it’s not only business.. it’s all fine, I will try and get my hands on US release somehow.. I would like to support you in that way.. but the sad thing is, I bet there will be so many illegal scans of it, it makes me feel sad and sour already...

The doujinshi to be released this time will be produced and sold by a US company under contract with me. So, unlike private publishing, there will be strict legal action against illegal uploads. The contract that I signed clearly states that the company that undertakes the sales has the obligation to defend the author (me).

Sorry to hear about your art being uploaded illegally. It seems that’s the way most people are going to see art nowadays. I appreciate all of your work and will continue to support you! A second question, if we are allowed to know, what is the company that is distributing your doujinshi in the United States? I’d like to keep track of them so I can be one of the first to purchase your works! Thank you for all that you do!!!!

Thank you! As for the company that will be releasing the doujinshi, this will be announced when the official announcement is made, such as pre-orders. The information that I am releasing a US version of the doujinshi has been disclosed only to supporters on this Fanbox. If we announce the name of the company in advance, many questions will be asked to the company. The company has its own advertising plans and various reasons. If a customer asks a question based on information that has not been disclosed, the company will be confused. So, please wait for the release information.

Thank you for the information! I look forward to seeing more of your works!

Mord_Rethar

I am very glad you took all the actions to stop the illegal uploads

Mika

Hello Mikoyan sensei, if possible please consider chinese translation of your doujinshi as well. It might not stop piracy but some are willing to spend if there's no language barrier. You can also include signature or watermark so those minority who are willing to support knows where to look at. Website like ehentai/exhentai probably is the biggest source of piracy if you wish to take action.

Thank you! I'll look into translating the text into Chinese. However, the current text in both Japanese and English is also quite labor-intensive, and I think it is already difficult for an individual to work in multiple languages. I want people from various countries to see this site, but the language problem is difficult. Especially erotic expressions are very difficult to translate.

Really looking forward to grabbing that doujinshi! Hoping your link it here when it releases because I'm not sure my usual choice of publishing site is the one you went with. Here's to your bright future in the Western market!

rollingfoj

Any plans of releasing digital version on dlsite?
