So as many of you might have noticed, our Dropbox links have not been working properly. I tried looking at reasons as to why, and as far as I know the links were working properly this morning.

It's not until I tried to delete and generate a new link that I finally got an answer in the form of an email.

Dropbox link function has been suspended temporarily due to excessive traffic

What this says is that someone or a few of you started mass downloading everything in the archive. And you know what? That's perfectly fine, and really I'm only disapointed in Dropbox for putting a hold on us and asking me to upgrade the account to increase the traffic limit. Bit fucked up Dropbox, but hey, maybe the cost of server traffic makes entirely reasonable, I don't know.

That or someone started sharing my links without my consent, but I really hope no one is a massive enough douchebag to do something like that.

So for now, we're switching to Mega links. I've already added everything from October, but nothing else. This is more so because I just don't have the time to add my entire collection today, as some of those files are pretty damn big. I'll be adding the rest of my works in the near future, maybe in the form of Zips and once Dropbox stops being stingy then I think maybe we can use both links for a while to mitigate excess trafic. OR I'll bite the bullet and start paying for Mega. Anyways, really sorry again to everyone for the technical issues and as a way to make up for it, I'm posting a wip o something real special to come.

Sounds like drop box are pulling the 'I'm a little bitch' card and they're blaming YOU for THEIR problem. Heavy traffic is something a site should be built to withstand, blaming the customer for it is asinine. Happy to hear we're switching to mega, they work far better imo.

I can't remember the exact reason I went to dropbox instead. At least, I think Mega lets me generate different links when I un share and re share a folder. Which is kind a important. Worst case scenario I'll look into the cost of upgrading Mega.

I’d suggest being careful with mega because enough reports can get you into a ton of trouble since the content violates their tos i think

I feel like I could say the same about Dropbox. Appreciate the concern, but with mega worst case is I just lose the account. I’m only sharing art after all, and loli is not actually prosecuted kind of ever because it’s a massive waste of time and resources over something that does not in fact matter.
