Looks good so far. Simple pose, but it works. When it comes to Blender, I think its less about doing something "new" and just more about doing what you want. You have fans and I'd imagine they would be happy to see you animating anything you like in blender. I also imagine that honey select has limits and there's limitations on doing what you really want to do there. Its not an animation engine/toolset like blender. There's only so much that can be done with HS. So I hope the time with blender still works out and that you find not just motivation, but enjoyment in creating with it.
