この森に群生しているキノコはマンドラゴラのように人の形をしているが、悲鳴を上げるでもなく自ら土から抜け出し夜な夜な森を彷徨っている。

幻覚作用のある胞子を放出し、幻惑された若い男（主に成人前のエルフ）の精気を吸い取る。繁殖の為の栄養補給に満足すると胞子の放出は止まるのでさほど深刻な事態には陥らない。

動き回るのは一晩だけで、朝には大量の繁殖用胞子を放出し枯れてしまう。

なかには胞子の効果が切れてもその快楽に魅了され、繁殖用胞子を持ち帰り自ら栽培する者もいるとか。
