So as I noticed some of you have already heard ot it.

Pixiv have changed their ToS regarding work where there's payment involved. This includes services like Pixiv-Requests and also FANBOX.

I can't upload any work that includes loli or bestiality anymore. There's a bunch of more stuff I didn't make in the first place but these two points are already problematic.

I will continue with my work as usual, but unfortunately loli and bestiality stuff will no longer be uploaded to FANBOX.

If I'm not mistaken I'm still allowed to upload it to pixiv however!

So once the set is finished it will still be accessible through pixiv.

I will continue to upload images to Pixiv that are within the ToS guidelines.

So all images that don't include lolis or bestiality will still be posted here!

The only advice I can give you is to make a jump over to my Subscribestar page!

https://subscribestar.adult/badonion

I also want to make clear that this is not Pixiv's fault. In the EMail I got it said that it's actually card companies who don't want transactions being made for content like this!

That's probably also the reason why paypal isn't an option on Subscribestar.

Anyway. Next up will be a new Diana post before we finally start with Fatal Error 2!

Goddammit. I just moved here two months ago because subscribestar started refusing my card. I'm running out of options...

This all very terrible to not only artists on special interests but an infringement on actual FREEDOM to do what others are willing to pay for. Making my switch over to subscribestar then. :)

Anonymous

You may want to bug your bank about that, it’s what I usually do.

Chris

Yeah, we're going back and forth on that for months now. The result is, I can wait till next November to get a new card for free as the old one expires, or I can get a new one now for 150 bucks. Fuck that. It's Subscribestar, not the bank. They have a blacklist of cards for some reason and if they decide they don't like your card, there's nothing you can do. They have no customer support whatsoever.

This is well annoying as i aswell cant use subscribestar. I hope there wil be an alternative in the future.

I say wait and see, they'll announce the new restrictions on the 30th... From what I understand this is a result of assholes posting REAL pictures of kids in their fanbox, and simply slapping on a thin coating to disguise it as AI generated artwork. What pixiv is doing sucks, but it MAY only be specifically talking about REAL pictures and not drawing/cgi since the the "genuine article" being posted is what was causing the problem.

Moved to subscribestar. Only reason I stuck with fanbox was cause it allowed you to post preview images of most stuff. So tired of payment companies dictating who can and can't run a business. Total abuse of market position IMO. You don't see electric companies turning off power to non-illegal stores that they just don't agree with.

this is exactly correct..... Whatever the legality is in whatever country of whatever content in question: ultimately it is the *payment processors* who are controlling moderation OnlyFans mainstreamed the issue, but 2d and 3d artists felt this long before with the Patreon Purge, when they shifted to a different legal jurisdicition. The amazing thing to consider is that "payment processor" really means at most 1-10 people (or a similar order of magnitude) in the C-Suite of companies like Mastercard or Paypal dictating the content moderation policies. For those people who exclaim about moderation policies showing ideological bias, this is a far more egregious and far more destructive issue. Companies like Facebook or Twitter may or may not represent "public square" or "public goods" that should be regulated as common carriers and subject to stricter oversight. However, Visa and Mastercard posses even more highly concentrated control over their critical and unavoidable industry.

we shall see. Certainly, Pixiv is at "core" built on mostly content that would qualify as "objectionable" under the types of policies that have normally been applied. Logic would suggest that Pixiv could not do this.... They would effectively be wiping away like 75% of their entire platform ecosystem (including Fanbox, Gumroad, etc.). However, consider: Pixiv's position on top of this mountain of content seen as objectionable or obscene in certain countries is problematic enough that their management consider it better to operate their business as a nonprofit to avoid some of the scrutiny that would come with operation as a for profit. Several years ago, Patreon purged numerous high profile 3dcg accounts that earned the platform 5 figures per month (15% of cumulatively more than $100k). At that timey they had around 30 employees, so that was actually significant. My point is that foot shooting is entirely possible and likely.

My problem Paypal is not usable for Subriberstar :( I did't want give a real credit card with my data

But Fanbox is not be able to control work uploaded in zip form with password or put into external link. Why is not possible use this method?

badonion3d

The mail said that this restriction will be specifically for fanbox or other paid services. It said nothing about the restriction would apply to pixiv itself as well.

badonion3d

I could try that. But the fear of getting banned maybe even from pixiv is real.

badonion3d

I actually think paypal not being available on substar is for exactly that reason. I will think of alternatives.

Anonymous

I think the best option would be DL-site the only issue would be getting used to exchanging your currency with their system on site. But other than that I think that site is full proof for your kinda content and most of the content that pixiv is trying to dis allow. They also allow paypal to buy/ exchange currency. For those who would perfer to use a paypal for payments.

Well, I was an old fan long before you started from Patreon. There's no reason to move on when you plan to settle down elsewhere. If you decided to move. Send a message to let me know.

I appreciate the long support man! :) It's difficult right now since I already have so little time to work on my sets. I have Vanishing Flower helping me set up a discord , I also made baraag account and I'll see what I can do there.

badonion3d

It's just such a shitty time for them pulling this move now. I wish they could've done that in December where I got some more time for something like that.

Switched to Subscribestar, thanks. Pls, continue the mafia toy series...

Will you encourage us to move to your profile on subscribestar or stay here for now? Please keep us posted on that matter. And where can we find all your content... does the subscribestar page has all the comix/works you have done so far? Won't stop supporting you because of the sudden stupidity from pixiv... I hate this kind of censorship/suppression over artists so much....
