This is weird. I knew I was going to draw Mera from Aquaman someday, but I never expected it in this way.

For those who had no idea where the meme came from, here's the story: Miss A.Heard, the actress who played as Mera in DCEU's Aquaman, was the ex-wife of the actor J.Depp, who played as Jack Sparrow in the Pirates Of The Caribbean. For the past few years, rumors always indicate that Depp used domestic violence against his wife. But last month the story was totally turned over for a leaked record clearly suggest that A.Heard was the real one who's using domestic violence against her husband. I'll leave the story for you to dig if you're interested. But I gotta admit I'm pretty upset with this true story.

Anyway, I see this as an opportunity to finally draw something for Mera. She was captured by Davy Jones underwater and brain sucked by this monstrous sea lord, mind-flayer way. After that, her body was sent to Jack Sparrow's ship and they had a fun moment with this rare seen beautiful creature from Atlantis. The reason why Davy Jones does this for Jack Sparrow is very much as a gesture of friendship. As they say, man always makes friends through a conflict. It is very often to see two men became friends from foe after a battle, especially between pirates.
