Before we began working on the Spoils of Victory comic, we were coming up with what characters would be involved in the story.

We initially thought to have the male protagonist of Pokemon Sword & Shield be involved with the schoolgirls, but then we realized the schoolboy character was a much cuter design to work with! You'll also notice some initial sketches showing the schoolgirls from Pokemon Sun & Moon. That's because I (Hydro) initially came up with the idea of this comic when Pokemon Sun & Moon was first released!
