The technique I used here is basically the same to the one tested and explained for these other illustrations:

The difference here is that I tried going in much more detail at the greyscale step (I was inspired by this); it's definitely been an interesting experiment but I'm still at the beginning of exploration with this process and I'm not sure how to feel... gotta try again (and again and again and so on...) to find  my balance!
