Once a mercenary, always a mercenary. Not too bad if you're ok with sleeping rough occasionally. You get to see the sights, and protect a bunch of archaeologists from large, but harmless spiders.

It's like a paid vacation while they root around in the leftovers of old machines. They kept building things. Factories that couldn't stay powered for very long. Some buildings that almost resemble living spaces and temples.
