Discomfort cradled in warm tones

Forget the homework,
Assingments in flames,
I'd rather be naked.

Summer's small death:
Regretfully we conform

Empty Icicle wisps
kiss of concern
"So what do you want, little girl?"
his pale curls unpure

Now prepare a toast
Whose transformation is most?

I wrote this while on the greyhound bus from Detroit to Cleveland, It's sort of a summary of how I feel when summer changes to fall, and we all start thinking about the holidays.

This photo set "Nekkid Hippie" shot by Theresa Manchester was one of my last outdoor shoots in Seattle area (where I live) this summer. It shows me in boho hippie attire in the beautiful morning light, then stripping to nude. It was probably around 67 degrees Faranheit at that time, just warm enough for outdoor nudes, but whenever the sun went behind a cloud, the temperature shifted drastically! If you live in a place where the weather changes with the seasons, you will understand my emotions during this time. Seattle summers are intensely amazing... to a magical level! Feeling that icicle bite in the breeze REALLY makes your heart sink as if it were the death of a loved one... one you wished you spent more time with before their last days.
