***Drama Addiction***

So it's kinda embarrassing for me to address this, but I think the reason I was addicted to facebook was partly the drama- humans are wired to strive for connection, and "competetiveness" does light up some dopemine responders in the brain. Facebook being so easily summonable, right there in our pockets at all times, had me hooked. 

I loved making positive comments on my peer's posts, but I also loved "debating" with folks whose posts enraged me. I don't need any of that shit! Who cares if some random person I never even met is a twisted jerk? I am not going to "save" them lol...

But since deleting my facebook almost a month ago, I have a void left where the drama games of facebook used to fill. I am glad I am gone, but it's a strange addiction recovery similar to my past struggles with video games, ibuprofen, alcohol, chewing gum... etc. 

So wierd! Does anyone else have odd addictions to social media?
