Bali Yoga Video + I am in NYC! (Patreon)

My relationship with my body is a bit complicated - since my body is also my prime tool in my art and income. There are some things that I got into *because* of modeling - like sexy lingerie! My first lingerie outfit I purchased was for a photo shoot, it since has always been incorporated as a photographic item, I am not really into lingerie in my personal life. I just like the way it compliments my body in photos (wierd? yes...)

But yoga is different. My journey with yoga started because of a car crash. I was t-boned by a drunk driver when I was 19, I was a passenger in the backseat of someone's little pontiac, and the drunk driver hit us running a red light at about 40 mph, in a BMW SUV. 

After 3 years of physical therapy and trial and error, I got my injury settlement money but I was still in horrible pain in my neck, shoulders, and lower back from the accident. My doctor told me that hot yoga would be the best recommended therapy for improving. I was very naive and I thought only certain religions practiced yoga, and that I was going to be pressured into a belief system (remember I grew up in a cult-like christian environment... i was very triggered by the "prayer hands" pose...) 

I still gave it a try, and I am SO GLAD I did because I became addicted to it! My headaches and body pain had dissipated within 6 months of hot yoga, so I continued my practice. 

Anyway, it's just icing on the cake to be able to do some nice yoga poses for you in a patreon video I shot in Bali, in this beautiful rental location! I hope you enjoy:

***I am in NYC!!!***

I used to not want to return to NYC, my first few trips several years ago (for modeling) were not pleasant experiences- when I was new to traveling modeling, I was not prepared for the fast paced bustle, the cold winters, or the necessary subway system and how to use it when one line is under construction and google maps didn't get the memo, lol!

But now I love this city's audacity- It's a loud vibrant place full of dedicated artists and hard-working folks. I love this pace, I love this vibe, and I have been loving the shoots I have been booked for while here so far! 

Lindsay Adler had invited me to participate in her Fine Art Nude Workshop here, - she does them a few times a year so I highly recommend them if you're a photographer looking to expand your creative palette.
