A month or so ago I shared a set called "rainbow selfies", which I did with my cell phone. These were shot on the same day, but with my Sony a6500. Why did I do both? Well, I was experimenting! That's what artists do, right?

Some are in the shadowed stripey light and some are using the rainbow prism, I could have made this two sets, but you get em all in one!

I alternated from the phone to the Sony as I was testing out the way the rainbow hit different parts of my body in different areas. It was incredibly difficult to set the prism to catch the light at a certain angle, have the focus set to my eye, and jump into the frame within ten seconds of hitting the shutter button with the rainbow aligned where I wanted it.

So I did lots of practicing with the phone. I like both sets, if you're a $10+ supporter you can see the (playful version) set in your archive folder.

***Growth!***

I want to be physically stronger. I want to push past my mental cage for myself. I want to diversify further in my different creative avenues. And now my thoughts are becoming things.

I have been reading inspirational and educational material EVERY morning, journaling, listening to podcasts, meditating, and of course practicing yoga and exercise on a regular basis. This year I am pushing out of my comfort zone, though.

In a couple weeks I have my freediving training course, I have been practicing equalizing and breath holding, learning to move past my body's natural urge to breathe- it's very mind over matter.

I want to pose deeper, I want to be challenged more in my modeling.

Some side effects to my mental and physical growth are just popping out of no-where, for example I have been periodically throwing away past items, things I was attached to but have no future with... for example today I am hosting a model wardrobe swap, where I am giving away 80% of my shoes and large bags full of wardrobe that I just never use for shoots any more!

Breathe in the positivity and energy, breathe out the laziness and the past gunk. My life is a kung fu! And you are helping me afford my freediving course and to afford my designer and vintage wardrobe that is replacing the old stuff that's been sitting in my closet, bye bye to the old! hello new!

What changes have you made lately? Is there something you're working on?

Curious!

As for personal growth; I applaud your candor to share these very personal thought with us and seeking to improve yourself. We should all seek to challenge ourselves. In stead of just letting life's hurdles force that growth. I am a type 7 in the Spiritual Anagrams, so I have to fight the urge to collect copious amounts of stuff I do not need. I have to avoid the temptation to stop at garage sales or peruse Craigs List and Ebay, which I have done well over the last couple decades. But I still have a hard time letting go of that old gunk that collects dust in a storage room(s).
