Hi Patrons,

Here is a quick update on how my activities and how the next animation is coming along.

A close up look at Andre's hammer.

The intro is 70% done now! The amount of hours we put in these past few weeks have doubled, so our efficiency is running pretty high. Still, there's a lot of compositing and timing tweaks that need to be done (polish) before it's ready for any sort of preview. We are getting close to settling on a final render pipeline (the steps in the production we take from draft to final product) - this is good news as it gives us some guard rails to work within.

Team Meetup

About a week ago some of our Gildedguy community members were in the area, so we met up in person! There was much coffee and keychains exchanged all around. I enjoyed seeing names that were familiar online, and seeing how they translated to IRL (their personas matched up quite similarly)!

Perhaps someday there will be a wider opportunity for in-person greets, whether it be at a convention (or just coffee)!

Trading Card Update

Just a quick update on the trading cards - I finally got a chance to look at the prototypes, and I'm quite happy with them. I'll be doing some test shipments to evaluate costs and the best packaging approaches. Fortunately, there's a lot of info out there on mailing trading cards.

Nutz

For my post-big-project project (last year it was FM3k Ep 2, aka Shadowshaw), I'll be working on Gildednutz 2. It shouldn't take more than a couple hours here and there, and oughtta be a nice, zany break from my polished animations.

15 Minute Animator's Tournament

I'll be participating in a charity animation event on October 9th at 12:00pm EST. If you'd like to support the firefighting efforts on the US west coast, or just enjoy seeing artists compete, feel free to stop by the livestream. More info here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pcwqdPuO3gs

That's all for now, have a happy October!
