The above clip is from a short animated part that I am submitting to Hatena360's "Stuntman" collab. It took about 2 hours to finish.

Project Shadowshaw is Done!

From the Discord Server announcement:

Next Tuesday, we'll be watching a full 35-minute length episode of my secret side project titled "Project Shadowshaw". It's a fully voice-acted audio play with an accompanying animatic for visuals. Although it's not related to the GG stories, I hope you guys will enjoy it. We'll also rewatch some of my older content, do some giveaways, and maybe play some games.

This side project took longer than expected, but it's finally done! I'm happy with all the performances from the voice actors, as well as PowerMeep's awesome score (as always). Working with voices is always a refreshing change of pace from my dialogue-less animated music videos.

I hope you guys will find it refreshing as well.

Story #0 Progress (No Spoilers)

We are 15% complete with the intro of the animation (3% overall). It turns out that we have some bottle-necks on the ink and cleanup side of things, so I might have to recruit even more artists to help with the production! I am currently calculating the budget to make room for maybe 1-2 more part time ink n' cleaners.

I'm learning a lot about organizing an animation pipeline, and I'm setting up a lot of "infrastructure" to keep it orderly. Google Sheets and Google Forms have been my friends in this endeavor!

I know spreadsheets appear somewhat....boring on the outside, but I'm starting to see the awesome powers they hold. Every little detail, function, and formatting I apply to these spreadsheets makes them 1% easier to use. I now refer to them daily, like a personal secretary.

It's like having a second, or third brain that helps me calculate and remember due dates. The word "deadline" strikes fear into many artists, including me. I would often ignore deadline because they stressed me out too much, and I feared it would interfere with the flow of drawing. The solution is actually to do the opposite! By keeping the deadline in close, easy-to-access view, I do not have to worry about missing it as much. And since it automatically updates on my spreadsheet, it offers an elegant, non-judgmental account of my productivity.

#This concludes my praise of spreadsheets.

Added Merch to Care Package Tier

Thanks to a fresh shipment of Gildedguy merch from Kero, keychains and buttons are back in stock. I've also organized all the new Version 2 stickers. The care package tier is still the same price, but now has 3 more items, so as a whole it has:

  • Hand-drawn Ink Sketch - I will draw you a 8" x 10" Gildedguy illustration!
  • Keychain of Your Choice (New GG, Oxob, or Bog)
  • Kero's GG Sticker Set (2 sheets)
  • 2 Gildedguy Buttons
  • Banana Coconut Coaster
  • 10 Gildedguy V2 Stickers (Pick from 4 sets)
  • Free S&H. Ships internationally.
  • And previous perks: Work Desk View + Previews/Posters + Name Credit + Cameo Spot

The tier was on low stock for a while there, so I'm glad we've got more stuff to give now.

Mic Streams

I've been using the mic more often to better communicate with you guys while working. Now is a great time to hop into the daily Twitch streams. Beware of spoilers though!

That's all! Continue to enjoy your Summer

or (winter).
