KonoSuba - The Harem Adventures, v1.5a is being released on Patreon. This version is free to play for everyone.

While the game is available for free, your support on Patreon would be immensely appreciated as it will not only motivate me to continue developing the game but also help me sustain myself. By pledging, you'll receive various rewards and benefits based on your chosen tier.

Creating this first version was a labor of love, and I sincerely hope you enjoy it. With over 900 renders and animations, 5000+ lines of code, and an expansive city to explore, this version took me around 3 months to make, as I was constantly learning Renpy as well. Keep in mind, that your support means the world to me, and together, we'll make this game an unforgettable experience. Thank you for joining this exciting journey!

So anyone paying less than second tier is not one but TWO updates behind? Might just cut my losses, as most devs are happy with any support. I'm used to seeing low tier supporters being one update behind, not two. I was not aware the disparity would be that great, considering I could get the free version for nothing... Considering, looking now, all the low tier does is offer discord access (most offer that) and "news" (which I get from Itch anyway, and which also gives people a reason to visit your Patreon in the first place) I'm not sure first tier is worth it, and I'm just not yet willing to contribute more to a project that could be dropped before completion. Is there any benefit or reason (other than a heavily restricted discord) to continue supporting at 1st tier?

Hey Chris, I think there's some misunderstanding, the public version is just 1 update behind of the patreon version. Currently v2.1 has been released for the patrons, and v1.7 is now available for the public. You can check the download links in my patreon account's about section.

Except it isn't... the only version unlocked for the 1st tier is the free version... two full versions from latest, and while every other game I support might have a waiting period for lower tiers, this is the first I've ever seen that doesn't give low tier patrons (who are still supporting YOU, I might add) full access to (at least) the latest version of the game after a waiting period. Read your membership description... 1st tier is completely excluded from latest release... only public release is available to them... and you're charging $10 for that. $15 and I can get full release in 8 days. I have COMPLETE games that cost me less from mainstream platforms... is this game nearly finished, or are you expecting to charge that much for a game that isn't even 1/4 done? I've never seen a dev that wasn't at least appreciative enough to give lowest tier patrons access to the full game, even if after a 2-3 week waiting period (gotta incentivize buying into higher tiers... I get that)... this strikes me as just straight greedy. If you intend to keep the final iteration of the game from tier one supporters, let me know now, so I can cancel my support. You won't miss it, since obviously it's not valued and not needed, being only $2 monthly.

I completely understand your perspective and I appreciate you sharing your thoughts. The first tier Ive set up is primarily for donations from generous individuals who want to offer support during the development phase. And Ive explicitly outlined this in the tier description. While I acknowledge your point about receiving complete games at the price of some of my tiers but thats why Patreon exists. My goal, alongside other developers is to receive some support during the development phase and plan the benefits for patrons accordingly. I can see that youre not entirely satisfied with what youve contributed towards. To address this, Im initiating a refund on my end for your support. As youve backed me for a total of one month... expect the refunded amount to be credited back to your account within a maximum of five working days. Apologies for any disappointment caused.
