To complete the month agenda here you have a little of contrast paint by brush. Here i done some wet transition between 2 colors for simulate the tyranid afection on the genestealer cultist.


Keep in mind that the optimal use of the contrast paint is in a good sculpted model, robes, fur, hair, etc.


Apply contrast in flat surface (like a space marine armor) is diffult because you can easy create "pools" (flat areas where the paint is acumulated).


You can check Juan Hidalgo videos on Youtube, he is a master in the use of contrast in flat areas.


But i use to apply with airbrush like an ink in those flat areas :)

Para completar la agenda del mes aquí tenéis un pequeño video de contrast aplicadas con pincel. Aquí hago una transición húmeda entra de 2 colores, para simular la influencia de los genes tiránidos en la piel de un cultista.


Tened presente que el uso óptimo de las contrast en en superficies bien esculpidas, rugosas, como telas, pelaje, cabello, caras...


Aplicar las contrast en superficies planas no es muy recomendable, porque si no controlas generas fácilmente "piscinas de pintura" (donde se acumula tontamente pintura)


Podéis echar un ojo a los videos de Juan Hidalgo, que es un maestro en el uso de las contrast en superficies planas.


Yo, en esas situaciones prefiero aplicarlo con aerógrafo :))

I will probably use apotecary white contrast... I want to look like workers of a space station. Some kind of astronauts

What Orange was that, you based with? And did you use any yellow to the highlights? Nice effect, overall.
