Hello, everyone!! I have a bunch of things to say today! Most of them are good!

Hello Hello!

First off, wow, hello new patrons! Where did you come from? There are so many of you! Thank you so so much for supporting this comic! I'd like to personally welcome:

  • Lindsey

  • TinaRiva
  • Astrid
  • Miriam Michaels
  • Rolo

As well as a hearty welcome back to CitizenRob and Vertis Sidus!!

I apologize that I haven't been able to reach out personally this month -- like many, I'm a bit sapped and I haven't been able to keep track of various things! But consider this a big ol' hello and a reminder to check out the Patron Resources page I've put together to get all of your rewards.

Plus, if you're pledging at $3 or higher, you should make sure you fill out the form to show me how you'd like to be thanked! This time around, I omitted any last names but in the future, I'll be using your full name unless you tell me otherwise.

Also please be sure that your patreon email is correct on the form; otherwise your preferred alias will not show up!

Amiibo Card Commissions: Potentially Open?

Like many others during Quarantine, I've been playing an awful lot of Animal Crossing: New Horizons. (Add me if you'd like!  SW-0157-0832-4519)

In my spare time I've been noodling with some traditional copic commissions of Animal Crossing characters, and I have the power to make them into bootleg, actually functioning amiibos! (You can too: all it takes is an Android phone, some NFC 215 tags, and a pile of files for the amiibos.)

You can see two I already made for some patrons up above!

Probably gonna be PWYW plus shipping, as long as it's at least enough to cover the supplies. Quality depends on the money. I'd value them around $50 but I know lots of people are hurting right now so PWYW it is!

I will also take ACNH items/villagers/whatever in trade (plus shipping), but that depends on what you've got. I'm picky!

If you're interested, drop me an email: artist@cvilbrandt.com. My resources are limited so I will probably only take a couple at a time.

NOTE: I can only make amiibos of existing amiibos! I can't make a Raymond or an Audie or anyone who doesn't have an amiibo card yet. Sorry!

Commission Broadcast Channel

While I always alert you guys here about open commissions, if you prefer to hear about it in another channel, I also have a Telegram Broadcast Channel that I announce to! Just click that link and it'll add to your Telegram.

I also announce to the community Discord as well!

Impending Health Changes?

I've been struggling with my Fibromyalgia for the last month or so and I finally bit the bullet to ask my psych to let me try a new medication for it. I'm already on the most commonly prescribed med for it, but this is an antidepressant that also helps it! (Body chemistry sure is weird!)

This means that I'm going to be phasing off my current antidepressant and onto a new one, and that means there's always a chance I might have some health dips in the upcoming weeks. I'll try to keep y'all updated as I can. Hopefully it'll be smooth sailing as I'm pretty stable normally. We'll see! And hopefully this med will help everything else and I'll be MORE POWERFUL THAN BEFORE!

And Finally... Sales Tax

And now for the crummy part of this email! Patreon is now required by law to take sales tax on certain pledges, and it will go into effect July 1st. Here's the little form letter thing they suggested I post:

I wanted to give you an update on some changes that we’ll be seeing which may affect some of your pledges.  Due to new laws passing in several countries and US states, Patreon will be required to start charging sales tax on some pledges starting July 1st.
Less  than half of all patrons will be charged sales tax, and for most, the  amount will be very small. For example, sales tax rates in the US range  from 4% to 11%, so on a $5 pledge, that would be between 20 cents and 55  cents.
Whether  or not you will be charged sales tax depends on your location, and what  is considered taxable there. Not every pledge is taxable, not all benefits are taxable in every location, and sometimes only a fraction of a pledge will be taxable. The money that Patreon collects as a result of these laws are paid directly to local governments.
I’m  working closely with Patreon to ensure I’m able to save you as much  money as possible when it comes to sales tax - which is not something  that’s possible with other platforms.
If you’re in a location where sales tax will be required, you  should expect to receive an email from Patreon with more information  about this very soon, but I wanted to make sure you were aware of these  changes way ahead of July 1st when they go into effect.
If you have questions, you should be able to find answers here. If you still have questions, the best place to get an answer is from Patreon’s customer support team, here
Thank you for all of your support.

Anyway, that's it! Thanks for sticking with me while I struggle through all these dumb health problems >:C I look forward to bringing you more great comic pages!!!
