The 3 boys were possibly busy with a royal engagement - maybe Prom was also supposed to attend but Noct hadnt seen him since lunch break and it really wasnt like him.

Cor, to stop him panicking, tells him he will check in on Promptos tracker and he and the others can go start getting ready. Clor blessedly doesnt have to attend. He's got a bad feeling when he sees that the tracker is still pinging from inside the school.

As a grown man he;s not going to go into a space where there are minors without permission s he goes tot he principals office for permission. The principal is chuffed to help out until he realised whats after happening.

'M...marshall? Am I l-late?'

Im imagining the principal behind Cor fretting because he knows which kids did it

And theyre allowed to be bullies because of who their parents are

Teachers have selective blindness

Cor is just like 'You realise Mr. Argentum is a soldier of the crown so this is tantamount to treason?'

'Prompto, do you know who did this?'

'Ummm' looks down 'No?'

Principal has a second of relief

'Don't worry - you look like you might have a head injury, you can't be expected to remember'

'I would like to see the cctv footage for the corridor outside - i can see a camera in the corner of the bathroom too. If you require a warrant I can reach out to his Majesty' *pulls his phone out to call Regis*

'Sir, Marshall, I think thats a bit much, Promptos alright? Aren;t you son?'

'I-' 'Prompto is sufferent from a head injury, I will be advocating on his behalf'

'Umm yeah'

The principal blusters and tries to redirect Cors attention some more but hes having none of it - hits his speed dial on Regis and is like 

'Not a social call Reggie, I need a warrant for some CCTV footage - noctis's school - oh right, we can request that at any time. Excellent, thank you.'

He hangs up and lets the principal know that it's a stipulation to Noct attending that they can do security checks at any time.

The Principal is like - 'b-but, this isnt in relation to Noctis'

'Ah, you see, Prompto here is Noctis' best friend, he could have been targeted because of this reason so it could be related to a threat to Noctis so I simply must insist.'

'Oh....of course'

The principal is probably like 'WELL I TRIED, theyre on their own now.'

You can imagine how the parents will react when they get royal subpoenas in the mail. Prom probably wont even have to do anything because its indorectly a threat to Noctis so theyre gonna run with that.

Even when they kids deny going near Noctis and saying that it was the 'Niff kid' theyre like 'But you KNEW he was friends with the Prince?' Like couldnt you have bullied someone less important but it was a power trip for them.
