Not sure where to comment, so why not here! I have to say I did enjoy this. Very nice. I really liked the setup in the gym, where she's being mercilessly mocked. It helps explain her deep "Ego" after getting her powers. And I hope we have a nice return to this scene later. Kristi might get a bit of Ego off of showing up Christine after she humiliated her like that. Maybe Christine can't resist the body/might on the new Kristi (Kristi will of course get an extra Ego boost off the worship, but have none of it). Sir Balthazar is a nice mix of a wise ruler, and an asshole. That entire scene of "If you don't like me reading your mind, get strong enough to stop me". (etc). Also, it's nice Kristi thinks he would have come to rescue, but ... is this actually the case or did he just toss her in for a training exercise and walk away? He seems like the guy who would do that to ramp up her training. I REALLY want to see Kristi eventually go up against Balthazar in a mental contest and have her Ego "be much greater" and or him to undergo some PC Displacement. It'd be nice for him to loose some of that Mind or even Teleportation to her. ;-) That needs to be after she gets a bit more (maybe story # 3-5!). I like Firebird so I don't want to see her get any PC Displacement but maybe some of the other PC members would be good fit to loose some Physical to her so she can both ramp up her power level and do so again when they loose some too. I also liked her using the Bus and an opportunity to do it one handed, then one fingered. It shows her drive that she wants to get as strong as she can immediately. A fully loaded school bus can be 20 tons! With one finger! (I guess she wasn't fully supporting that weight, just keeping it from falling off. Still impressive!) That's some nice growth in a day. She's might not quite be at Carlos' old maximum, but getting close. And in ONE DAY. I'm enjoying the interplay between Carlos and Firebird too. I guess part of me wants to see one of the PC guys (or women) giving Carlos a hard time about his wimpy muscles, and go up against Kristi, and have her drain him down to lower than where Carlos is.... Might be time to train some Mind/Spirit too! I also like that since she has no idea how fast this should happen, she's just blowing the doors off and getting really strong/really fast. When she does find out, I don't think it'll affect her as she already knows it's not true...so I could see her getting a huge chunk of Mind and/or Spirit pretty quickly. Maybe the mind starts when she's trying to coordinate a rescue and she can't figure out how to move some debris to save people, and thinks really hard to get a solution and develops some Mind. That gives her intelligence to solve the problem, but also a spot of TK and she then uses it to solve the problem => stronger TK => more Mind. I could see force field coming about the same way: debris falling on a crowd of people and she doesn't have the time to save them all so creates a force field to block things, and pushes and pushes and gets strong Spirit in one go.
