I did a *lot* of revisions of Clovers head before I figured something out. and had a lot of feedback from friends too. shout out to Anyveon and Artspam for all their help!

the first pic is the initial sculpt. my main intention, compared to the old model is to make Clover more "personable".
his original version was very close to the OG deathclaw which.. lacks expression. with the addition of it being hard to read his face in general. given his horns and pecs got in the way.


it took quite a few revisions to get the proper facial proprotions down and I stopped absolutely hating things. Unfortunately with sculpting, everything has an "ugly" phase unlike in 2D art where things tend to get better as you go on.

you can kinda see my progress as I develop him from a less brutish sort of muzzle to something a bit more personable. though I do want to keep a certain level of "yes he will eat you" :P

but this time its more he will eat you, but he'll be really hot while doing it
