Fan Art: "Star Wars: Rebuilding of Empires" (part 4) (Patreon)

Characters and vehicles have been designed, but I've also used existing ideas that were re-purposed. The machine above is an AT-ACA, or All-Terrain Armored Tactical Assault transporter, with a Scout Walker head placed on the older AT-TE body, and a few extra air-defense guns and smoke dischargers mounted. 

One of my favorite re-purposed characters is Tavion Axmis, who was a Sith Apprentice and a minor antagonist against Kyle Katarn in the video game "Jedi Knight: Dark Forces II". In the "Rebuilding of Empires" time line, she survived her run-in with Katarn and went into hiding, built herself up, and then became one of the most powerful Sith Masters in the Galaxy before coming to a realization that she'd wasted much of her life pursuing power for power's sake. She became a sort of Grey Force user, neither Jedi nor Sith, and while still something of an asshole she mostly helps the heroes of the story.

Alec Syfardos (older brother of Irena Syfardos) started out as a Jedi but was more interested in exploring the full spectrum of the Force, and he eventually left the Jedi Order and followed Tavion Axmis... eventually marrying her. 

Tavion was pregnant at the time of their wedding.

A quick sketch of another repurposed character; this one is Tigris, a character from the Vonda MacIntyre book "The Crystal Star", regarded by me and many others as one of the worst Star Wars books ever written. Here's he's been recycled into someone cool, and is now a medical doctor. This hasty sketch used Eddie Redmayne as an inspiration.

On this site, I am "Coyote" and sometimes use the moniker "Darth Coyotus" when posting as an "evil" character. 

I started posting in this story while I was deployed to Iraq, copy-pasting from the site onto a thumb drive in our Internet Cafe, composing responses on my laptop & saving them on my thumb drive, and then copy-pasting them back into the site later. It was a great way to escape my surrounding for a little bit, and I continued it upon my return. 

The story has had slow-down periods (in fact it is currently in one) and at times it has been fast paced, with posts added within hours or even multiple posts a day at times. But it is one of the longest-running Star Wars collaborative fan fictions I know of.
