The story has been going on for over ten years, and over time I have written in expansions of the government and multiple elections and changes of government. Above is a recent "Queen of Naboo", Ranya Saviya, who is also Queen of the Sovereign Alliance government I made up. One thing I have done is write in how the election of multiple young leaders, almost exclusively young women (in an eternal quest to re-capture the magic of Padme Amidala). These young women have been changed by their time with power, usually in melancholy ways.

The current Queen is from a pro-Imperial political party (a first) and she faces a lot of hurdles. She is based on Alison Scagliotti's character from "Warehouse 13", Claudia Donovan.

The Queen comes from an Imperial party and of course the Imperials have a stern and militaristic reputation. Queen Soong, however, rose through the ranks  of the Diplomatic Corps to become a Moff, so while a uniformed service, she has a way with being much more personable. This made her a good candidate, whereas a "classic" grumpy IMperial would not do so well.

The first Queen of the Sovereign Alliance in the post-collapse setting was a young woman named Noora Raidaa. A fourteen year old girl of unusual poise, candor, and rhetorical mastery, she has long since ended her reign and is now a reluctant living legend in her forties and in a relationship with a Jedi woman a decade her junior.
