Censorship, my dude, that's what Japan does best... Vomit's usually shown off screen, displayed as a "rainbow" or even just as a clear substance, it's part of the "gross" that Japan censor laws try to keep control of on TV/Movies.

Movies are long, yes, and it can get somewhat tiring to sit for so long and have to commentate... but honestly, a personal joy of mine is seeing how amazing a movie can be. Movies for anime have so much more budget, less time constraints, (typically) better animation quality, fun one-off characters, and several new OSTs composed just for it that make it so worthwhile haha So yeah, I understand you tearing up over watching this movie, it's always great to see a wonderful series get more content, especially when it's well-done and the action is hype as hell!
