Anriku, be careful, the Opening has MASSIVE Character Spoilers^^ We see Characters that appear first between Episodes 12-24. They shorten the Story a bit from that what i knew from the Light Novel ( the Time Raphtalia travels with Naofumi after he buys her to the Point where they travel to the Mine) but it is great after all. We saw enough to knew a bit more about Raphtalia, how she starts to overcome her traumas etc. I read the Light Novel up to Volume 12, and they animate the first 4 Volumes, so i think the Manga covers the first Volume.

Thanks for the heads up. I did watch the opening but I wasn't reading too much into it. I am interested in the bird companion he gets. This episode was sweet and like you said, gave us a look into Raph as well as how their bond will develop.

The Bird Companion will appear, i think maybe around Episode 7 or 8, if they let this Speed with the Animation of the Light Novel. This new Companion is another thing that makes his Party so special in the Future. Btw Anriku did you like the Spear Hero Motoyasu? If not, i give you a hint: This Bird Companion will teach Motoyasu a good Lesson in a Future Episode ;) ( Something that i cant wait to see in animated Form) Btw Raphtalia is 10 Years old, it was mentioned in the Light Novel when he buys her.

When the first Wave happend, there was no Hero. They summoned them after the First Wave happend, if i remember correct the first Wave happend 3 or 4 Weeks before the Heros got summoned. But they already saw how strong the first Wave was ( but they could repel it with the Soldiers and Adventurer) so they come up with the Plan to Summon the Heroes ( we will hear more about it in the Future) Why they treat in Melromarc Demi-Humans like this, is a long Story, but i cant explain it without Spoilers, so im sorry that i cant give Informations about this, Anriku.
