What an incredible Finale!!! I couldn't actually believe the scale of the final fights and the stakes that would be involved. Most of all the characters all had the most satisfying conclusions to their stories. Brilliant show. Enjoy :)

This finale is just outstanding, just absolutely incredible. Talk about earning your happy ending! It's been such a pleasure and joy watching these reaction videos from you, really! I can't imagine anything getting closer to the feeling of watching the show again for the first time. It really is special, and if you'll allow me to get a bit sappy, so are you. Your empathy and insight while watching this show has blown me away and no other reaction channels I've watched even come close. You just get the characters and the spirit of the story. Thank you so much for sharing this with us, and I'm so excited for you to watch Korra! I think if I can trust anyone to go in with an open mind and give it a fair shot, it's you :D

Your take on Avatar Yeng Chens advice for Aang is really, really interesting to me. I understand you are not an utilitarian then? „Selfless duty calls you to sacrifice your own spiritual needs and do whatever it takes to protect the world.“ Man, I’ve seen some heated discussions about this online. When I first heard her say that, I was mindblown. Never have I ever thought about a concept like this. The idea, that acting according to your personal moral understanding could ever be selfish, was shocking to me. And then I watched it the second time and it started making sense to me I mean, think about, what would have happened if Aang didnt find a way to defeat Ozai, without killing him. Would it still be the right thing to not pursue his death and by that risking your own defeat and the doom of the whole world? There are some people that think, it would have been the greater writing to make Aang kill Ozai in the end. They say, it would have been better to take that route and „not serve Aang an easy solution on a silver platter“ (the lion turtle and energy bending). Well, I am not one of those people, but I do think, they have a point. On the other hand, it is beautiful that Aang was so determined to stay true to his values that he somehow managed to find another path. This wouldn't have happened if he hadn't remained so steadfast in his convictions. It shows a great deal about how the determination to stay true to ourself can make us work harder for a solution and with that find the better course of action. Basically I’m changing my mind about this every few months. Looks like I’m not like Aang. I’m not very steadfast in my convictions, haha

I think saying I’m not “utilitarian” is a bit of a stretch. I think there are many areas of life that need to be sacrificed for the betterment of society. Like the whole last few decades has been about following your heart above everything else which I actually think is really unhealthy. But I. The context of the show we’re talking about the specific value of not murdering someone and while I think I wouldn’t be able to stick to that value like Aang did in this context, I admire and respect the hell out of him for doing so. Sacrificing your own spiritual needs to protect the worlds I actually agree with, what I don’t agree with was her labelling “don’t murder” as a “spiritual need”. Sorry this is long but my point was I guess that his values actually help aid the mission of “protecting the world” not hindering it. And in the end his act of mercy would actually influence countless people in the future which I think is beautiful.

This show is so special. It's as close to perfect as I think it gets. I'm a sucker for everything coming together and paying off in the end, down to little things like Aang using Toph's vibration sensing skills to catch Ozai at the end trying to sucker punch him after he spared him. He became what he needed to be because of everyone he met. In the end, Aang was likely the only Avatar who even could have done what he did to stop Ozai. Even he almost lost himself, his pure soul only just managing to win out. And by stripping Ozai of his bending, he ended up giving him a fate that was worse than death. He was left humbled and humiliated, without the satisfaction of an "honorable" death in battle or any ammo for those loyal to him to use against Aang. I found Korra immeasurably disappointing, so I won't be joining you on that one, but maybe you'll find some joy in it 💜
