I did it! I watched Twilight finally. I really do have so many questions about this film I am assuming will be answered in the next instalments. I was so perplexed at some of the ideas in this film but it toed the line between creepy and romantic beautifully. Enjoy :)

Did you know that Rob and Kristen were a couple in real life when these movies were made? They met on set. I agree with everyone, Bella’s dad is awesome I remember a lot of people didn’t think Rob could play Edward Cullen after seeing him in Harry Potter, but I think he pulled off the mysterious, brooding bad boy. A lot of people also have a problem with the Vampire lore in these books/movies. Vampires aren’t supposed to glitter like diamonds in the sun. They are supposed to burst into flames and kill people, not live among them and fall in love with humans. Yes, glittering skin is silly, but I looked past that. I’m a hopeless romantic so I look past the cheesiness. I thought it was interesting that Edward had been alone for 100 years waiting to find someone and ends up falling for a klutzy human. I also think it’s interesting what it must be like for him that he can read everyone’s mind except hers and that he wants her to live her life and not be like him, but she wants to be a vampire. I hope you watch the rest of the movies, I’ll watch with you. You will learn more about Taylor Lautner’s character and the pact between the Cullen family and the Native Americans. You also mentioned that there was more behind Rosalie’s (the blonde vampire) dislike towards Bella and you will learn more about that too. And so the lion has fallen in love with the lamb

As someone who "purposely" moved to Phoenix AZ with a friend - I can say that it feels like someone's left the oven door open all the time. We will get cooler weather in the Nov-Feb months but before you know it, it's sweltering again.

PS: the actor that plays Bella's dad is great

I went to see all the movies in the cinema but I was never a diehard fan. I also started reading the first book but I couldn't finish it (the movies are slightly better). The main issue I have with these movies is not the bad acting or the cringy lines but the fact that such unhealthy relationships are glorified and romanticised (like Fifty Shades which ironically was written as Twilight fan-fiction originally). It's SO problematic. Bella & Edward are also so incredibly boring. Bella is literally the most boring & useless character ever and Edward is boring & creepy. It baffles me how Edward's abusive stalker-y behaviour was considered not only normal but romantic. Jacob isn't that great either even though I think he's a more interesting character. And Charlie and the rest of the Cullen family. Even the villains. Pretty much all the other characters are more interesting than Bella & Edward and the stupid love triangle. These movies are a guilty pleasure though and the reactions to them are always fun.

When I was a teenage girl I thought these movies were romantic. As I grew older they kinda turned into unintentional comedies. When you have the right mindset and don't get to affected by cringy lines, it is so much fun to just laugh at how serious the movie took itself.

When Bella gets her Truck, I always think: THAT is the MOST hideous and ugly car I have EVER seen in my life (including Fiat Cubo, which is arguably the most hideous car in Europe ever made). And she thinks it's "perfect" 😝

I've watched your reaction several times and enjoyed your in-depth commentary. After seeing a few more reactions, I decided to go back and rewatch the saga, but the extended versions and a lot of plot holes are covered in those versions. The characters are more fleshed out, and the story isn't as awkward. I think I prefer the extended versions, all and all.
