I don't think I have ever been this hyped while watching an animated film before. Lightning's journey from arrogant but talented to humble racer was absolutely incredible. Enjoy :)

Hiya! I've just recently found your channel on YouTube and your reactions have been incredibly enjoyable to watch. I like how willing you are to give movies and shows a real chance and it's nice to hear your thoughts on them. Just wanted to show my appreciation 😅👍

Just got home from working with my kiddos for a summer theatre program all day today. Excited to settle down and watch this! I’ve never seen this one before!

AnastasiaSandm

I love this movie! Agree, the opening scene is 🔥

Kolan Bäng

Are you doing the Incredibles next?

Nub

I remember going to theaters for this when I was a kid!! One of the coolest Pixar movies for me growing up.

Liam

Ive never watched cars either.

i always forget how great of a film this is until i rewatch it! always appreciate the sincerity and empathy in your reactions, oscar (˶ᵔ ᵕ ᵔ˶) have you ever been to disneyland/california adventure before? i feel like you'd have such a fun time haha

Teej

Whenever I watch an animated movie that I’ve never seen before, one of my favorite things to do is guess who all of the voice actors are.

Teej

That being said… Michael Keaton, one of my all-time favorites. Even though he’s in a little bit of it and he essentially plays a villain, he’s one of those actors who creates magic with every film he’s involved with.

Raquel Perodin

Ooo haven’t see this in such a long time. Let’s see how I feel about it now lol please watch the incredibles it’s my absolute favorite Pixar movie. 💖

Tamara

Oh man this is still my favourite Disney Pixar movie!

This one gets way more negativity than it should as far as I'm concerned. I've always loved it, and I'm glad you did too. The main character has a fantastic arc, the characters are endearing, and it just has a cozy feeling draped in classic Americana that you just don't see that often. I especially loved how you understood what Lightning did at the end. Everyone I've seen gets frustrated that he didn't cross the finish line before helping the King, not understanding 1) not only would it not have been legal to my knowledge, but 2) the spotlight would still have been on Lightning, the first rookie winner, incredible comeback, yadda yadda. Doing what he did put the attention on the King, who was able to finish his career with dignity, and turned the event into something everyone would remember forever for the best reasons. I put *way* too much thought into the end of this film.

Always love coming back to watch this movie! Its a favorite of mine. Would love to see a reaction to Finding Nemo and Finding Dory!

A movie I would love to add to your watch list is ”Who Framed Roger Rabbit?” A genuine must-see for anyone who enjoys animation.

"Life is a Highway" by Rascal Flatts is a GREAT song! And "Our Town" song was phenomenal! The song "Route 66" still sounds so good...it mentions towns that Route 66 actually went through, Route 66 was a part of Americana, only parts of it now exist. "Our Town" song always makes me misty eyed...interstates, airplanes, cell phones, the internet...All have made us kinda lose touch with each other in a face to face way, and so much of what makes towns so homey is the connection we have to others, little downtowns in small cities have gone to make way for mega cities...sometimes it makes me miss my childhood in the late 60s, and 70s! I adore this film. WHAT FUN!!! Mater is voiced by the comedian "Larry the cable guy".

Caryl C

I agree; "Our Town" had me in tears. What happened to Route 66 was an American tragedy.

What a terrific way to revisit this movie! Your reactions were so cogent and entertaining. I forgot how good the soundtrack is. Looking forward to watching the next one with you!

YES!!! Oscar should definitely react to "Who Framed Roger Rabbit" he would go wild loving that one, I just know it!!! It is so GOOD!!!

Tara

Hi Oscar, I’m not sure how much you know about racing, but many of the race cars were voiced by real NASCAR drivers and at the end when the Ferrari came to by tires from Luigi, that was a Formula 1 driver Michael Schumacher. You were right recognizing the voice of Mack, that actor has voiced a character in almost every Pixar movie. I always remember him as Hamm, the piggy bank from Toy Story

This was the movie that actually revitalized Route 66. It hit a chord with so many people, and now I see people all the time taking road trips and getting off the interstate to actually see the country. My hubby and I drove from Iowa to Phoenix in 2019 to visit a friend, and we spent 5 days on Route 66 to and from, and we had an absolute blast! Everywhere we stopped was busy, and businesses seemed to be booming. We really want to drive the whole thing someday, from Chicago to LA!
