ln_wanderbooks

OMG!!!!!! I'm so here for this one! Please telle me we won't have to wait for a week to see the rest of the first movie!

Will3000

You're going to love these so much!! I personally love your perspective, and recently watched A Quiet Place 2. I def got your reference of taking one more step being the furthest Sam has been from home. Regardless, you're reactions are absolutely genuine, so I know it'll be great!!

Stephanie

Is it midnight here? Yes. Am I still going to watch this now? Also yes.

Will3000

I'm a therapist, so I've noticed your "in a funk" comments. It isn't something anyone can tell. Still, comfort shows and movies (sometimes video games) help me a lot! I hope you start to feel better soon, and I appreciate the heck out of you for being in touch with your feelings and honesty with us! You bring so much positive energy, always! You're an awesome person and content creator, so please know that I light up every time you drop something new! Please take care of yourself and know how appreciated you are!! 👍

Michael Short

is this the extended edition?

Sarah

I am so glad you decided to react to it, even though you already know it well. It's just such an amazing movie and I am so excited to see your perspective on it! I've also had a really awful week, so this is perfect timing for a comfort movie :)

TheCocoaCouch

Because of this comment alone I’ll likely try to get part 2 up within the next few days but the YouTube versions will be more spread out. Exclusivity woohoo 😆

TheCocoaCouch

Hey Marshmallows! Turns out I actually have Covid and filmed this while sick with that, not the flu 😆 oops.

A.D

have you watched these movies before? I was just confused reading the "watching something I have watched so many times on the channel" in the description, I just didn't realise you had it on the channel? or am I confused xD

ln_wanderbooks

Thank you, you're adorable even if just for saying it 🥰 And yes to exclusivity, who cares about Youtube 😝😂

Sarah

That sucks... Take care of yourself, I hope you feel better soon!

The hobbits are believed to have been created by Ilúvatar when men were created. And yes, Gandalf was gone for 17 years researching the ring

Kitty Underwood

I have a replica of Sting! It's more gold though, so not an exact replica. I bought it when I was like 21-22, and the vendor asked me if I had permission from my grandparents who I was there with cause he thought I was a minor lol

Kitty Underwood

Arwen is over 2700 years old, and she is Aragorn's (very very) distant cousin

Kitty Underwood

I don't think Elrond was just frustrated, I think the Black Speech was actually causing him pain

From the One Wiki to Rule Them All Types of hobbits The Harfoots were the most common Hobbits. They were smaller and shorter than the other kinds and had browner skin. They did not grow beards and rarely wore shoes or boots. They were skilled with their hands and feet and preferred hillsides and highlands to live in. In ancient times, they had frequent contact with the Dwarves of Middle-earth and lived in the foothills of the Misty Mountains for a long time. While the other varieties of Hobbits were still in the Wilderland, the Harfoots moved west, travelling across Eriador as far as the South Downs. The Stoors often chose to live near water or on flat land. They were broader and heavier in build than the other Hobbits and their feet and hands were larger. They were the most reluctant variety of Hobbit to leave the River Anduin, where some Stoors continued to stay. Others travelled west after the Harfoots and followed the River Loudwater southward. Many of the Stoors settled in the marshes of Swanfleet between Tharbad and the borders of Dunland before they continued north. The Fallohides, who preferred trees and woodland, were the least common variety of Hobbits. They had fairer skin and hair and were taller and slimmer than the others. They also had better relations with the Elves of Middle-earth, were more skilled with language and song, and preferred hunting to tilling. They crossed the mountains north of Rivendell and then followed down the River Hoarwell. They settled in a triangular forested region between the Hoarwell and Loudwater rivers, known as the Angle of Eriador.

Loved this reaction, what a surprise!! Have you seen the prank interview Dominic Monaghan (Merry) did with Elijah Wood (Frodo)? It would be a super fun reaction to include at the end of Return of the King. It’s peak comedy, truly iconic. The video is titled “Prank interview with Elijah Wood” on Youtube.

West Beast

yes! favorite trilogy of all time!

A.D

idk what you mean by in general but im going to guess yes he has watched them before haha. He said one of the scenes makes him laugh every time. Anyway im not bothered, I was just wondering

TheCocoaCouch

“In general” I’ve seen the film a tonne of times. I haven’t reacted to it on the channel before.

Jerry Whitehurst

My favorite films of all time - when I was little around 4 or 5 years old my Dad had a collection of the original paperback books of The Hobbit and the Lord of the Rings books and every day he would read a couple chapters a day and he would do his own voices for the characters and then when I got older and was in the 5th grade around 10 or 11 years old The Fellowship of the Ring came out in theaters and my dad and I went to see it and I absolutely loved it - Looking forward to the other reactions in the film series, are you planning on doing film reactions to The Hobbit trilogy as well?

macey ♉︎✴︎

only recently joined the Patreon but I'm loving the reactions so far Oscar!!♥︎ would love for you to react to the hobbit maybe when we've completed lord of the rings?

Turnt SNACO

Your confusion is understandable, but he meant "watching something for this channel that I have watched so many times on my own" - not "something I have already watched on this channel so many times".

Turnt SNACO

"It isn't something anyone can tell" I don't know....I don't think it gets much more clear than just saying it outright. 😅 I mean I guess probably the most unobservant people probably don't notice, sure, but I think many of us who gravitate toward him are probably on a similar spectrum emotionally and intellectually, and are very perceptive of these sorts of things. I think he knows he doesn't need to say more than that for us to understand.

Turnt SNACO

I don't know why I randomly thought of this, but have you seen the movie Ghost? I think you would LOVE it. It's a crazy blend of genres and an absolute emotional rollercoaster.

Timothy Panngam

You're right, in the book Gandalf came and went for a bit and then disappeared for like 9 years before he came back and did 'the test.'

Timothy Panngam

The Black Riders still exist physically in the world as undead warriors. But they are completely invisible and have to wear their robes in order to appear visible when dealing with living people. Why these robes don't also disappear is a mystery (note that in Bilbo, Frodo and Samwise case, when they disappear, their clothes disappear also). Perhaps if you add clothing 'after' you are already invisible, that clothing does not disappear.

Brian Matthews

IF you want to learn more of the beginnings of Hobbits, and Middle Earth itself read J.R.R. Tolkien's book "The Silmarillion" it sets out the beginnings and stories concerning the World of Arda, Middle Earth, and all the rest. IF you read the Lord of the RIngs, and Hobbit and love them you will also love THE SILMARILLION.....Brian

A.D

No worries, I got it eventually, I read the post in the middle of the night so it just completely went in my head the wrong way. I wasn't complaining I just wondered!

Lia

This is everythingggg. After hearing you refer or recite lines from these movies in other reactions, I for sure thought this was never gonna happen but YAY!! Feel better soon!!

Moss

Yes!

Caryl C

Thank you for taking on this project of reacting to LOTR, one of the most awesome movies ever made. I loved your character/actor analyses at the end, hope you keep those up throughout the trilogy. Hope you feel better soon; I just got over the crud myself and it's no fun.

J C

Of course you should watch the whole series. Then we should watch the Hobbit movies.

Will3000

Please keep taking care of yourself, stay extra hydrated, and I hope you feel better soon 👍

Will3000

You're absolutely right. I didn't phrase that very well. 🤦‍♂️ What I meant was that I didn't want Oscar to worry about comments from viewers who don't understand mental health. We all go through ups and downs. We've human beings, so we do that, lmao. So, I didn't want him to worry if someone left a bigoted comment about his mood. It's more than okay if he's not 100% happy all the time. No one is like that, 100 % happy all the time. I just didn't want Oscar to put any pressure on himself. That's all. I hope this reply made some sense 😉

Jacob McDaniel

When Arwen saved Frodo, she asked that "What Grace has given me, let it flow into him" She transfers her vitality, given by her Elvish heritage, into frodo to slow the effect of the Blade. That helped buy enough time to get him to Elrond

Crimson

Love your content dude! Just curious if you will make all of your movie reactions available on streamable at some point?

Taylor Fleet

Hope u get well soon, still love to see your vids even when you are poorly :)

Caryl C

How did they get that effect in the opening battle, of the arrows whizzing right past Elrond's head, close enough to ruffle his hair, and yet he didn't flinch? I love that moment.

Nova Amore

Can I ask which site you watched this on?? I wanted to watch another reaction to this movie, but the timing of files I found are never right😭 Your copy seems right though!
