The Vampire Diaries 1X13: Children of the Damned (Patreon)

Oh, I really liked this episode. I felt like I needed all these flashbacks. It gave the characters a much richer backstory. 10/10. My favorite episode so far.

Also, watching Katherine be Katherine, actually kind of answers some of my ranting about why all these people are so jazzed to get to her back. She had this ability to make you feel like the most important person when you were with her, even while talking about how she also sleeps with your brother. Lol. There really is something so magnetic about her.

And we can see where Damon's lack of trust comes from. It totally sucks because Stefan really was just trying to help the situation. (He didn't want Katherine dead either, he loved her too). But it ended up getting her captured. I wonder if Damon is going to help her escape. (Don't tell me). She still has yet to turn them and is currently locked up in a muzzle, so something clearly still needs to happen.

Back in the current timeline, everyone is still on the hunt for the journal, since they think it will lead them to Emily's grimoire. Turns out, it does. Stefan and Elena figure it out first and go to the Salvatore's father's grave and dig it up. Damon shows up as soon as they find it and is kind of crushed to see that both Stefan and Elena lied to him.

He threatens to turn Elena into a vampire if they don't give him the book. He feeds her some of his blood and says he'll snap her neck. Stefan makes the trade, the book for Elena. The blood gives her a headache though, and while Stefan is fetching some aspirin, Anna (probably) steals Elena.

And poor Bonnie. She was actually enjoying herself. And then they kissed and she knew immediately: BAD! She tries to casually walk away so he won't catch on, but he does. He zooms around and grabs her. Hopefully, Stefan can save her, yet again.

So all this time, I thought it might be Elena's family that were vampire hunters, and they are. But I never thought the Salvatore's might be as well!
