content leakers (Patreon)

hi im not back yet, also might extend another month. But im just posting this regarding someone leaking my patreon contents. Bro my tier is already cheap and still they do this :(

I just wanna ask for opinion bc im planning on deleting all monthly contents every end of the month to avoid these thief from getting access to all my contents just for 5$. Let me know if youre ok with that.

I hate that you have to pop up from your break to address this. 😤 I’m fine with whatever, so long as their actions don’t starve me of content. 😭 I believe sakimichan puts a limit on her content as well.

To be honest, that's fair. Although im not sure if that will help… depending on what version they use, it could cause them to save the photo… but yes I am okay with that! It's your art so do what you think is best!

Well, I would be sad to not be able to feast my eyes and my fantasies with your delicious fanarts 🤌 whenever I want (or need hehe), but if you feels like this the safest method to protect your contents and your work, by all means, do it ! Artist on social medias already have a hard time with all the AI shizzles, so do what you think is right for you 💖

Man. People are so horrible. I'm really sorry. Will it be possible to download the contents of the month if they're paid for before they get deleted from Patreon, or will they just disappear? Either way, you're the artist and your rules go, I just want to know how things are looking.

they could definitely still download but atleast theyd have to subsribe to get access and they would only get a months worth of content. its really hard to protect your stuff on the internet :(

I'm really sorry that it happened to you. Here's my take on this, and it may differ from the other comments, but I'm fine with it. I understand your anguish and anger, but by doing that, are you sure that it will change something ? I mean, 5 dollars is NOT cheap. 5 dollars for a month's content is quite expensive actually. And the newcomers would be affected by that too

the 5usd is for a months content which u will still be able to access, you'll still get its full worth. Im just deleting older contents to prevent leakers from getting access to it for only 5, its not fair

I think that the fact that people are leaking your work is horrible, and $5 IS very cheap for all of the time and effort you spend into your work, even for a single drawing! You should be able to do with your work as you see fit, since we get access to them for a period of time anyway! Whether you continue to delete them every month or choose to add a new tier, I'll support you either way and you can definitely bet I would sign up for a higher tier 😚🖤

Its fair for you as an artist, of course. And you gotta take the measures you think are going to keep the business up. Although for some of us who are not supporting monthly but only some months when the money is available, it’ll definitely would be a boomer :(

I would be fine with it but maybe I'd suggest you sending automatic messages maybe per Google Drive or Dropbox the 5€ content so only ppl who paid it for that month get the stuff? And like Fanbox for previous rewards from past month

If there is a way to archive posts maybe you can do that! But I agree with what someone said above that a reminder that posts get deleted would be nice for people who want to save them first!

It's a shame you have to resort to this but we understand! Quick question tho, how do we actually download your works? I've never seen a download link on mobile or desktop, and I'd like to save my favorites before you delete them

People really ruin it for everyone else 😩 I’m so sorry you have to deal with leakers. Maybe archiving post and/or moving it to another tier may be viable. A reminder announcement to save before deleting is best ❤️

I think the dropbox idea someone else posted is a great idea. I get that you have to protect your work and we understand. I just forgot to save the files previously 😣 That was my bad but I would love to be able to get copies of previous work.

it is as you think it would be better, yet is there no way to either archive or lock the content so only patreons can see it instead of deleting? (ocasionally it happens that i watch the content right when i get notified, but only save it later. but thats on me)

All my contents are for patrons only. These leakers would sub to me and leak them. For now i transferred my older stuff to another tier and limited the ppl who can sub to it since im just making it as a storage until i figure out everything
