Weekly Rant : Scattershot Rant - July 27th (Patreon)

Things on the home front are about what you would expect, visiting my parents and figuring things out. I'll spare you the rest.

I have been doing a bit of the "mindless" work in my spare time. I updated the rewards folder to include all recent stuff, broke apart some of the clothes files since there were taking so long to load, and responded to a few messages.

In the last weekly rant I mentioned my wife getting a week of paid leave. My wife was exposed to covid, but ended up coming back negative for it. In our health and age group, we are very lowest risk for complications anyways, so it was never really a major concern. That's actually why I held off on giving you guys the reason for the extra time, no point making anyone else worry when I really wasn't.

I am going to keep giving you guys the usual progress reports with a percentage, but I'm going to stop slapping a date on there for right now. The whole situation with my dad, the covid exposure, the pass code leak and adding on a few copy editors just made these last weeks so unpredictable.

I think Friday I will be getting back to work. I want to at least get the amanita event out for you guys this weekend and make a solid plan on how I am going to tackle the upcoming update. 0.2.15 and 0.2.2 will extend the story, add some small areas, a few events, etc.

I think I might change the 100 patron goal. The sound effects and music are serviceable at the moment and what I could really use is an animation artist that can get at least a few events to the point of "inking". I will have to look into the cost of it though. If you have any thoughts on it let me know.
