Chapter 8 Early Release (Patreon)

BOO!!

Happy Halloween!! This year, your treat is a new chapter of Evoria!! It's even spooky-themed, so it fits! This one's a lot less complex than Chapter 7 with its crazy big city hijinks, but it's a whole lotta fun! Plus there's a bunch of lore and character development! Yay!

On the sad side of things, unfortunately old saves won't work on this version. That means that any save from before version 0.8.0 will not be compatible from here on out! There's some mechanical changes with the new gulp skill and the pixel movement, so if you try and load an old save, things get buggy pretty fast. The good news is that I've updated the saves in the Evoria Chapter Select folders, added a save to start right before the start of Chapter 8, and another one that has everything so far 100% complete, for all you completionists out there!

SeaBea also went all-out for this chapter, I know he's mentioned it before but Chapter 8 has the highest amount of scene art out of any chapter, clocking in at 47 pieces of scene art!! Plus, this really is some of his best stuff, it's amazing!!!

The next update for the game won't be Chapter 9 just yet, I'm planning on releasing a sidequest update to add in a bunch of fun sidequests set between chapters 8 and 9! With the sidequests, things are gonna be a lot zanier and less lore-heavy, so get hyped for that!! (Plus we may see a very special long sidequest that Archie had been talking about in that update too...)

But that's getting ahead of myself- Chapter 8 is out now and I hope you all like it!
