Update time!

Hey look it's August already, man that went by quick. As expected I still didn't have much time for the game this week. I did manage to squeeze in one task that pretty much every single player that tried out the tech demo asked for, roll forward. I'd thought it would pose a programming challenge so I put it off a bit until now, but last night I'd figured out a way to do it quickly that wasn't too hacky. So now Body Language supports rolling dialogue in all directions.

Well... maybe not all directions :)

I've also integrated the new art that Phoenix delivered. She's now working on character sprites that will go with the mood system for the two remaining girls. It's a big job as, like the name of the game implies, body language is a big part of the viability of the moods feature. So I'm foreseeing quite a few iterations on those sprites before I'm happy with them. This will take time but it's an important component of the game so I think it'll be worth it.

I've handled most of the distractions that piled up on me last month, so going forward the work schedule should be returning to normal. I'll have to restructure the work plan (yet again) to compensate for the time lost, once I've done that I'll let you know some more concrete timelines for when you can expect milestones and releases. Thanks for sticking with me through this period of uncertainty. I know times are hard for everyone right now so this is your periodic reminder that I'm okay financially and it's entirely acceptable to reduce or remove pledges if you need to. And also that I like feedback (even negative, provided it's worded kindly) so do let me know if you have any concerns.

Have a great week!
