Update time!

This week was a bit crazy. First off, in case you didn't catch it, Bell Master was part of a charity 24 hour stream over on Goohshi.com. I took part in the chat for part of the stream and it was my impression that the game was well received :) I think streamer Laura did an excellent job giving voice(s) to the character and you should totally go check her out. Oh, and the entire streaming event raised over 900$ for charity, so, yeah, absolutely fucking proud about that one!

The rest of the week was spent mostly on building the main hub for Body Language. Now that the various intros are done and in the game, I'm focusing on the main game loop. The hub currently has two stages, day and night. In each stage you'll be able to choose from a variety of things to do. From exploring the town with your traveling buddy, hanging out at the club, going on a date, or playing some music on the streets for a quick buck. Each action will have a clear and direct impact on your game, no wandering around town hoping to stumble on the next scene in this game!

Implementing the hub allowed me to flex some of the stronger capabilities of my dialogue system, for instance, this bit of pasta is responsible for advancing in game time, then choosing between showing a scripted scene or the activity choices mentioned above. Building this dialogue system took a long time so I'm glad it's continuing to speed up the development process now.

The current plan is to finish up this hub system early next week and start working on the mood system for the girls in the club. Meanwhile Phoenix is working on an image for the next side character (more on that next update).
