Update time!

First off, let me say hi to the new Patrons. I know things are financially crazy out there, and making the choice to support anyone for even a dollar isn't a trivial one, so thank you. (And my eternal thanks to existing patrons as well, of course :) )

This week was a mixed bag. I've implemented all the girls' intros, along with some minor effects and the first real use of the dynamic music system. I've also spent an unfortunately large amount of time fixing some rather squirrelly bugs around image choices. They were rough, game breaking bugs so they had to be addressed immediately. The last thing I did was start working on the new side character. There's more work to be done on her, but she's starting to take shape.

On the art side, Phoenix delivered the club system images I've described last update, with 4 "mood" variants for ballet girl. I've started her on art for the new side character. I've left much of her actual design up to Phoenix, so I'm as curious to see what she ends up looking like as you are :)

Now let's talk about that side characters for a moment. This new character will be part of a small supporting cast that will serve a mostly functional role in the game. We're talking stat trainers, shop attendants, things like that. They won't be as in depth as the old man was, of course, and will largely be tangential to the games story. But they should serve to make the games world feel more alive, as well as provide some opportunities for shenanigans outside the main 3 girls. I'm aiming to have a very simplified version of 2 of these side characters for the tech demo release. And I will expand on them once we enter into a regular update cycle.

As mentioned before, the tech demo will be a very limited release without much content, just meant to test out the core game play systems and find critical issues early. Tech demo release is currently scheduled for mid-late May.
